Liliana Cujar | 7 comments This book is a visual adventure! This is a novel that I found in the "teen reads" area of my library at home. It narrates the story of a young pianist, Glory Fleming, who lives in NYC. She is a prodigy and is homeschooled and mentored by her father, who was also a piano player. She gains a new love interest in a neighbor who just moved from Argentina. Her developing love puts a strain on the relationship between her and her father, who only wants her to live up to her full potential. Her father schedules a world tour for Glory, and she resists because she wants to stay with Francisco. They keep in contact throughout her tour, but she starts getting more and more stressed out and is on the verge of a mental break. As the story progresses, the details start to unwind and leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about this story. The other thing: This story is completely composed of pictures, with no prose. This makes it super accessible to all readers and would be perfect in a high school class library. I recommend it to everyone who wants a quick read that will beg for a reread or two.
