West of Bree, lie the walls between humans and halflings. This is known as the old forest. Here, is where the ringwraiths chased frodo until they reached the Buckleberry ferry, which is upon the Brandywine River. Near the entrance of the woods is the farmer maggot, who is the hobbit furthest from the shire. this a peaceful old forest, and throughout history there has been nigh any blood spilt here.
