This book took place in 1943, the days of the Nazi soldiers. A ten-year old named Annemarie Johansen is on a mission to find her best friend Ellen Rosen and save her from the Nazi soldiers. This book displayed the disadvantages and advantages of living during this time and being a Jew. Full of laughs, tears, and appreciation; I recommend this book for people that are into suspense and learning about history.

I have read this book before. we both agree about it being full of laughs, tears, and appreciation. this book is really interesting and seems as if you were in the history of it.
I'm a person who likes to know history of world. This book interested me because its about the history of Nazi soldiers. The story from this book took place in old days so I will get a chance to what happened in those days. Its also tell us the importance of friendship. The writer made this book funny and emotional too. It wont be a book that makes you cry all the time when you read it. I hope it will be a book that also makes me laugh.
