There was once a village bred by evil. On the barren coast of Cornwall, England, lived a community who prayed for shipwrecks, a community who lured storm-tossed ships to crash upon the sharp rocks of their shore. They fed and clothed themselves with the loot salvaged from the wreckage; dead sailors' tools and trinkets became decorations for their homes. Most never questioned their murderous way of life. That is how the story went, I became so involved with this novel it made me sad when it was done in just because the mere face I was no longer connected to the characters or the dramatic, enticing, excruciatingly detailed scenes that happened ever so often. This book tested my emotions and made me ride the ride of a lifetime on the emotional roller coaster. I was star struck when in the most intense scene of the book the character, Charles, the person whom I thought I could trust most, Charles, my own brother vanquished, never to be seen. Needless to say this book was amazing and I readily recommend it to anyone who wants to try it.
