Left page count at 286, because publishers usually include blank pages at the end.

Hmm, just to resolve dilema once more :)
Last time said that libraries doesn't count as they should, and now publishers doesn't count as they should.
So, only relevant source is book in my hand?
Just ask, if I found some book, like this one for example, which data I should use if I find it on internet?

If the choice is between libraries and publishers, libraries win :)
They are more accurate and usually more according to how GR counts pages.

But book in hand is best, because GR's page counting is very idiosyncratic.

I'm not sure if that's true as a general rule. It IS true for WorldCat, and for many other libraries -- but definitely not for all.

By libraries, I mean national, public and university libraries. They all work according to the same rules (and they are the sources of Worldcat).
