Carol (caroldias) Hm.. I know I´m not a active member, but this doesn´t mean I don´t love you lol

I´m tryingo to find book about (or set in) colleges, showing college life in America. I´m from Brazil and I´m very jealous of the american system.

Including non-fiction, fiction, ya. Whatever. I´ve been watching Gilmore Girls lately, and Rory goes to Yale, so I´m totally in the mood.

Tks in advance :)

Mandee (amandalinajanel) | 378 comments I haven't read any of these books (so I can't recommend them), but I did a search and this is what I found:
Tap & Gown An Ivy League Novel by Diana Peterfreund We'll Never Tell by Kayla Perrin Kiss the Girls (Alex Cross, Book 2) by James Patterson The New Sisters (Sorority 101) by Kate Harmon/Marley Gibson Hell Week (Maggie Quinn Girl vs. Evil) by Rosemary Clement-Moore Forever in Blue The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Book 4) by Ann Brashares College Girl by Patricia Weitz Tam Lin by Pamela Dean Commencement A novel by J. Courtney Sullivan When Patty Went to College by Jean Webster The Secret History by Donna Tartt Fool on the Hill by Matt Ruff [image error] Moo by Jane Smiley The Big U by Neal Stephenson Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up to Me (Twentieth-Century Classics) by Richard Farina Joe College by Tom Perrotta They're all different genres, but apparently all take place in (or are about) college.

Here's some lists that might help too:

http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/21... but I'm not sure if they are what you're looking for.. good luck :) hope it helps..

Spencer (spencerafreeman) You should try the Jessica Darling series. They chronicle a girl from late high school until she graduates college. The first one is called Sloppy Firsts and goes until Perfect Fifths A Novel. That was just one that popped in my head. I'll post if I think of more.

It's also funny that you're jealous of us, when I know a lot of people (including myself) would be envious of YOU in beautiful Brazil. :) But I know what you mean about getting influenced by Gilmore Girls. I think I actually WANTED to study while I was in school everytime I saw episodes of Rory in college, haha.

I'm reading Matrimony: A Novel right now and I am definitely loving the college life in this novel. I especially feel like the author does a great job showing how some of us are feeling around graduation--what do we do? Where do we go? It's nice to read books with main characters that are going through the same thing as I am.

I'm going to try and get an interview with the author!

I love that series, but it kinda went downhill after the third book for me.

Mandee, the third link was really helpful. Thank you so much. I started that series a few years back but I could never remember the names of the books.

Kayla | 604 comments I love I Am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolfe. It's about a girl who is just starting her freshmen year at a fictitious Ivy League university. I've read it twice (once in high school, and then during my first month of college because I couldn't stop thinking back to that book as I was adjusting to college-life).

I've also read Chloe Does Yale, which was an okay book about a Yale student who writes the sex column for her college paper.

The Rule of Four revolves around two Princeton students, and it's an intellectual murder mystery. I read it a few years ago, so I don't remember much about it, but I gave it three stars.

It's a really great book, though I didn't care as much for Charlotte after I read it the second time.
