ok guys I've just found out recently (whether you know it or not) that a lot of us have more in common than I thought. Here you can share the struggles you might have with depression, ADD, ADHD, anything. SHARE!!

message 2: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Mental disorders... Pssh... The way I see it, it's just more so a personality, but some smarty with nothing better to do with their lives decided to label these things and say they're a "disorder".

true true

message 4: by Julia (new)

Julia People under 21 aren't supposed to legally diagnosed with any mental disorder, at least where I live... Even though the brain isn't fully developed until the average age of 25.

message 5: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Really? Hm..

message 6: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
wow that's interesting...

message 7: by Julia (new)

Julia Yep.

message 8: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
is that in the us?

message 9: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Like people try to say I probably have ADHD but I think it's just my personality.

message 10: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
yeah that can happen there's a fine line tho between personality an ADHD lol

message 11: by Julia (new)

Julia I don't know if it's all of the US, but where I live.

People tried saying I have ADHD too, Cait. Well, not officially say it, but medicate me for it. Yeah, it didn't work out. I lost weight, but of course, knowing me, I gained it all back. It's just my personality too.

message 12: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
wow never heard of it

you would think with so many medical advances they would've thought of a better way to diagnose ADHD

message 13: by Julia (new)

Julia I think it was just a try, and if it didn't work, then... Plus, it's more hard to diagnose stuff on kids, because we're still growing and the chemical balances in the brain continue to change...

message 14: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments I was never told by a doctor or anything and if I ever was and if they tried to give me some medication they could take that and yea.. Cause I wouldn't take it.

Just cause I have an awful attention span doesn't mean anything.

message 15: by Julia (new)

Julia I know, right Cait?!? Just because I like watching squirrels and think random things at time, or random to you, doesn't mean I'm ADHD...

message 16: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

true true

message 17: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Exactly. So what I can't stay still. So what I say whatever pops into my head more than half the time. So what if I jump from topic to topic because Im thinking of about five things at once.

message 18: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
that can just be perosnality

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

What if I change moods quickly? So, one second I'm happy and the next I'm being incredibly rude for no reason. Does that mean I have a disorder? I don't think it does…I might have OCD, but then again, I could just be a perfectionist.

For instance, if something is not symmetrical, I sort of freak out (I'm not symmetrical, which makes me incredibly mad). Everything must be perfect - drawings, how I write, how I make my bed, everything. That might mean I have OCD, but I'm not entirely sure.

message 20: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Exactly. And those stupid quizzes you can take online? I always score that I have it. Doesn't mean anything

message 21: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
it might not mean u hav one but then again you might

message 22: by Julia (new)

Julia No human is completely symmetrical, if that makes you feel any better.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

I know, but I wish I was. Unfortunately, my sister's room is currently unsymmetrical and it's driving me nuts. And my room as well. And my parents' room. Every single room in this house is unsymmetrical and it makes me want to sob.

But thank you, that makes me feel incredibly better (okay, it just makes me feel a tiny but better),

message 24: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments liz wrote: "it might not mean u hav one but then again you might"

Either way *shrugs*

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I tried those quizzes too, and every single one of them had different answers, so I gave up.

message 26: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
wow

Haha quizzes for what exactly?

message 28: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
yeah I've never heard of quizzes 4 it..

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

One said I have OCD, another said I'm bipolar, and then another quiz gave a bunch of results and I had no idea what those results meant - I remember that schizophrenia was on there somewhere, which is very strange because I know I'm not schizophrenic.

message 30: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
I think your best bet would be a doctors feedback

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, quizzes online. Just look up quizzes for mental disorders and a bunch pop up. I took a bunch and they sucked, so I decided that these quizzes were useless.

Well, I liked one of them. It actually made a lot of sense. But I don't remember the results.

message 32: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments I've only ever gotten results for ADAH in quizzes.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah.

message 34: by Julia (new)

Julia Wowza.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

ADAH? Cool, what's that?

Well, I know for certain I have a phobia. Not a mental disorder, though, I think. I have nyctophobia (fear of the dark). Even when I was a baby, I automatically cried when the lights went out because I was terrified of the dark.

message 36: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments *facepalm* I meant DAHD

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

ADHD? Is that what you mean? I think my sister might have it.

I have a bad feeling I'm OCD. One of my friends might be too. When she saw that a lunch table was slightly tilted, she had to stop and try to move it do it was perfectly aligned.

message 38: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
ocd actually isn't that bad but if your worried or want to relate 2 something look up ocd poem on youtube

message 39: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments *facepalm* I can't spell O.o

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, it's not good in my family. If you have OCD in my family, you'll have a heart attack. NOTHING IS PERFECT AND IT DRIVES ME NUTS! Other than that, it's all right.

message 41: by Julia (new)

Julia I just took a quiz, and it said I had multi personality disorder... O.o

message 42: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod
wow lol

an do u feel like you have that?

message 43: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments Oh you should post that quiz I want to take it I love quizzes and yea..

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Isn't that schizophrenia? I saw this video about this lady who had schizophrenia. One time she acted like a regular adult woman, and the next she was acting like a little 6 year old girl. And then she was acting like a teen. It was kind of strange. Her kids just played along with it.

message 45: by notyourfriend (new)

No. That's different. Schizophrenia is when you see things that aren't really there or hear voices in your head.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Wait, I may be confused.

Yeah, I was confused. The lady had multi personality disorder, not schizophrenia.

Are you like that?

message 47: by Julia (new)

Julia Um... A bit. But I don't think I have that. I probably have depression. I know I have mood problems, but...

message 48: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 69 comments QUIZ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

message 49: by Elisabeth, Don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today (new)

Elisabeth | 889 comments Mod

message 50: by Julia (new)
