Ghost in the Stacks On the end of the ribbon you find a key. Near the great tree you find three boxes in which the key can open. Be careful, we all know about Pandora. Pandora was gifted with curiosity as much as the other attributes given her by the gods. For her the box was a gift, not something to be kept in trust. What business had Zeus to tell her not to open it? Perhaps she'd listened to her brother-in-law's tales of tricking the king of the gods. Perhaps she saw nothing to fear. Maybe if she just took a quick peak.... Looking around to make sure no one was watching, she opened the box Zeus had given them just a crack. As Pandora did so, ghostly forms gushed forth from the crack. Pandora had unleashed all the evils now known to man. No longer could man loll about all day, but he would have to work and would succumb to illnesses. At the very bottom of the container was the last thing to come out. It was something that wasn't evil. We call the good that Pandora unleashed by the name of hope. Which box do you choose?

A. Chick Lit
B. Historical Fiction
C. Movers and Shakers

Sheila (sheilaj) Quest 10 Coming from A Million More Pages / Lachesis

I chose C: Movers and Shakers and read

Stone Cold (Joe Pickett, #14) by C.J. Box Stone Cold by C.J. Box from the fiction list 4/29 5 stars

This book had a 4.11 rating on Goodreads which will surely go up when more people read it. Personally I would give it 5 stars. I have read almost this entire series and I just love the MC/Joe Pickett. He isn't particularly special he is just a hard working, honest, try to do a good job under difficult circumstances. The outdoor scenery described is breathtaking. I would recommend this to anyone who likes modern day westerns/mysteries.

Beth Roberts | 15 comments I chose (B) Historical Fiction. Coming from A Million More Pages.

I chose
The Spiritglass Charade (Stoker & Holmes, #2) by Colleen Gleason The Spiritglass Charade

I rated it 4 ★★★★ but it has a rating of 4.04 stars on Goodreads. Yes, I recommend it - however, not as historical fiction, per se. There's way too much fantasy here for it to be categorized as straight historical fiction! It's also YA. I would also recommend reading the first book in the series before this one, The Clockwork Scarab. These books are a lot of fun - but not if you're a stickler for historical accuracy, lol!

Ghost in the Stacks Glad you enjoyed it!

Barbara ★ I choose (B) Historical Fiction. Came from ACATT

Written in My Own Heart's Blood (Outlander, #8) by Diana Gabaldon Written in My Own Heart's Blood - Diana Gabaldon 12/23
★★★★★

My oh my what can I possibly say about this saga that I haven't said in the previous seven volumes? Well nothing except that it's fantastic with enough going on to keep anyone entertained for 800+ pages. Simply spectacular! If you haven't yet started this series, you definitely should. And if you can, listen to the audiobooks with narrator Davina Porter to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

I came from AMMP and chose historical fiction.
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay by Tatiana de Rosnay
Rated 4 stars

This book was so sad but I loved it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical fiction. I did find the switches in viewpoint a bit jarring but this only lasts for the first 100 pages or so. Other than that, this was a great read!
