Aric B. | 11 comments I really enjoyed this book. 1929, and Prohibition is in effect. So when Ruben and Jeddy find a dead body washed up on the shore of the beach Rhode Island, they think it has to do with smuggling liquor. The boys, along with Jeddy's sister, Marina, are in it now, suspected by enemy gangs of taking something important off the dead man. Then Ruben meets the dcaptain of the Black Duck, the best smuggling craft of the rest, and it isn't long before he's caught in a war between two of the most dangerous rival gangs.

Roberto D. | 9 comments What an interesting book and talks about history fiction. Even thou being false it is set during a time period where going to the local could be the last thing you due. The book sounds like it is mysterious and suspenseful and maybe I will check it out of the library.
