New York Times Groupies discussion

My name is Ashley and at the moment I live on a little island off the coast of Puerto Rico! I love it (white sand, island cocktails, beautiful weather...) but finding books or people who read regularly is a bit of a challenge. I started this group because when I read a great book, something truly fantastic, I want to share it with people and I want them to share their favorite books with me. I work all the time and need to make more time to sit down, relax and loose myself it a book. It's kind of like meditation. I hope to find many others who are chasing that perfect read.

It's all good Barbara:) I live and work in the Caribbean but I'm taking this summer off to visit/help my folks in New England. Packing up my life and uprooting a dog was stressful, but it's done and I'm semi settled. Today I made my first library trip in years so I'm settling in fast! Thanks for the concern:)

Hello all! Thanks for having me. I really like the theme of your group with current fiction and nonfiction from NYT. I am a bit of a bookaholic and easily can read way too many books at the same time. My house is filled with books from floor to ceiling and they wander around in serendipitous patterns. However, I hope to join you in September with When Breath Becomes Air. It seems like a very interesting and powerful book.
