Hello! My name is Keira and I am one of the moderators here! I am a teenager and I love to read. I also really love writing and am currently working on a novel. I am currently still in school (for a few more years, still) and as such I have far more homework than I should. I also dance- predominantly ballet.

I currently run the YA, Adult and New Release reads for this book club and possibly more in the future. I am also the founder of this group!

As well as the blog for this group, I also have a personal bookish blog which you can also follow: https://rogantallulah.wordpress.com/

I also have a twitter: https://twitter.com/Rogan_Keira where I will update you on my reading and will host any read-a-thons that we might potentially have, so you can follow me there too!

Who are you? Let us know!

Read Me Like… (readmelike) Hey there! I'm Kelsey! I've been a lover of books since I was about 9 years old, so more than half my life. When I'm not reading, I spend time with my family and friends, my animals, or I'm working. I have no life. I'm very sarcastic, I affectionately refer to my black soul, and I bleed caffeine. I'm always up for a conversation of a good book.

Hi Kelsey! I'm glad you spend time with your family.... I'm so holed up in my room, I should probably do that more. What animals do you have? Sarcasm is the most under appreciated form of humour, in my opinion, although my mum would say it is the lowest form of wit.

Read Me Like… (readmelike) @Keira I have two cats (Love Bug and Panda Bear, I didn't name them and I really don't like their names) and two dogs (Jersey and Abbey Road, who I did name and I think I did a good job at). Most people don't pick up on my sarcasm, they think I'm being truthful.

I must say I prefer the names of your dogs than your cats! I have a dog called Rogan, after the curry (well his full name is Rogan Josh, but we just call him Rogan). Before I was born my parents had a fish called Corma and a cat called Teeka (both of which were also named after curries).

Read Me Like… (readmelike) @Keira The one cats full name is Lovin' Spoonful. They're from a past relationship, my ex-boyfriend named them. I wanted to name them Einstein and Donatello, you know, something respectable, something the other cats wouldn't beat them up about. And Love Bug can be anything but loving if he has decided you're on his hit list.

Awesome, I look forward to having you here! There will be a non-fiction book club as part of this which will run bimonthly too! There will be lots of book clubs actually- I will be making a discussion about that soon!

Tanisha!! I am so happy you joined!! :D I have to say I am surprised by the 3 cats...I would have thought you had a lot more! :D Welcome to the club, I can't wait to discuss the book pick with you!

Hi Kelsey! Welcome to the club. I have to say I like Lovin' Spoonful, he must have been a classic rock fan. I have just the one pet, Atticus, I will talk about him in my intro post. I freaking adore that sucker. And yes his full name is Atticus Finch, after THE Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

message 11: by Read Me Like… (new)

Read Me Like… (readmelike) @Jacqueline Sadly, no. I lie, because I am a classic rock fan, so it makes sense for me (but I don't like people thinking I'd name a male cat something so ridiculous) but when I brought the cats home when they were kittens, my ex looked at him and said "oh, he's such a lovin' spoonful." The name never changed no matter how much I begged. Is it any wonder we didn't work? Atticus is a much better cat name. I'm sure sure he's amazing!

Jacqueline (Fall In Love With The Sound of Words) (jackey_oh) Kelsey Marie wrote: "@Jacqueline Sadly, no. I lie, because I am a classic rock fan, so it makes sense for me (but I don't like people thinking I'd name a male cat something so ridiculous) but when I brought the cats ho..."

Ah I see. HaHa. It is creative though, as I am not a huge Spoonful fan Love Bug is much better :). I can see what you mean about the Male cat thing...My cat is Male but everyone makes fun of him because he is a mamas boy. We're thick as thieves lol.

He is wonderful! But such a booger sometimes. He is always escaping outside; I am trying to teach him to walk ona leash so I can take him hiking with me since he loves it outside so much.

Jacqueline (Fall In Love With The Sound of Words) (jackey_oh) Hello fellow readers! I am Jacqueline, but please call me Jackie :D
I am the moderator for the Classics, Non-Fiction and Mystery/Thrillers! I am very excited to start reading and discussing with everyone! I will have the chosen books for these categories up for you guys pretty soon, we are still just working out the kinks :)

So I am of course a voracious reader! I will read anything! Of course my loves are YA, Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Horror, Mystery/Thriller. I also love to talk about books, and boy can I talk! (I have been advised that sometimes I talk too much ;) )

I mentioned in a replay that I was going to talk about my wonderful cat, Atticus Finch; whom I named after one of my ultimate favorite book characters! I adore this guy. Confession; I am not even really a cat person...but I fell in love with him from just a picture, and we're practically inseparable! In fact I am even teaching him to walk on a leash so I can take him hiking with me.

Well anyway, that is me for now.

Happy Reading,
Jackie

Read Me Like… (readmelike) Love Bug is a mama's boy too. His attachment to me is ridiculous. He's developing an attachment to my mom as well, but I will always be the favorite. He remembers who found them in the cold park when it was raining when they were just 4 weeks old and bottle fed them until they were old enough. Or I remind him that when he's a jerk.

I've never taken my cats outside. My mom thinks I should take them outside, but I never do. Have you seen the IG account of the cats hiking?

Jacqueline (Fall In Love With The Sound of Words) (jackey_oh) Kelsey Marie wrote: "Love Bug is a mama's boy too. His attachment to me is ridiculous. He's developing an attachment to my mom as well, but I will always be the favorite. He remembers who found them in the cold park wh..."

Yes, I sometimes feel the same way (when I am not soaking in the love), He never wants anyone else when I am around. Awe, no wonder your cat is attached, I would be too if you saved my life! Atticus was taken from his mother at 4 weeks as well due to an arm injury. My best friend, who works at a vet, nursed him back to health!

I think usually cats want to be outside, unless they have always been domesticated. I think Atti has a little bit of feral in him...or I just get boring lol.
WHAT!?! I didn't even know that existed! I will go check that out. Thanks!

Read Me Like… (readmelike) It's called Adventure Cats. It's amazing!! If you think your cat has some feral in him, just wait until you see these cats!

At least I know that you would appreciate me if I saved you. Sometimes I don't think they do. When I went home at lunch, they had thrown up in the chair I do my hair and make up in every morning. It's like, oh great, this is what cat motherhood is all about!

lol, that sounds like a cat!! So far he has been very good at not doing those kinds of things...although he did bring me a dead Kangaroo rat last week, but apprently that is love.

I am so excited to see these adventure cats! Thanks for letting me know about them!

Luke Taylor Hi!
My name is Luke and I write books! I was invited here by Jackie and I look forward to talking books, music, food, whatever with all of you! Also would love to buddy read some titles with all of you and I'm sure we can all work out something awesome.

I have been writing for a long time but my first novel was published in February 2014 and I have several novels in the works, including (which I am over the moon in love with) a YA fantasy that is 1/3 completed. (I can't reveal the title just yet ;)
I love to read and I have a tantalizing TBR this year and I review everything I read, hoping to always evangelize a great book.

I love talking about topics of all kinds, feel free to message me any time!

Cheers to all!

Luke :D

Also, so cool you dance ballet. I took ballet lessons when I was a kid. I was the only boy in the class! :D

I've had lots of teachers. My first one (that I remember)... I don't know much about her background, then I had one who used to dance in Stuttgart I think and also the soloist at the Zurich Opera House and then now another one who didn't dance, but her mother is also a dance teacher etc. Flowers are quite a typical present to give dance teachers, I find.

Jacqueline (Fall In Love With The Sound of Words) (jackey_oh) Hello Prima. Welcome to the Book Club!

Tasha (tasha_4ever) | 7 comments Hi all! I'm Tasha, an almost-eighteen-year-old Malaysian book blogger with a passion for reading and experiencing everything life has to offer. When I'm not reading I can be found watching a movie, binge-watching a TV show, book shopping or spending time with family/friends, making memories that will last a lifetime.

I've loved reading ever since I picked up my first book, which is Goosebumps, when I was 9, I think. Now I mostly read YA, NA and Paranormal Romance, but I try not to limit myself to just those genres.

As for pets, I have 2 cat friends- Fluffster and Squeak. One day, Fluffy went out for a morning walk and came back with a frail kitten in tow. Seeing how attached Fluffy was to said kitten, we decided to adopt her and name her Squeak. Ever since my family took them in, my phone has had more cat photos than human photos. But that's just the way I like it. ;)

Currently, I run the New Adult and theme-based section of this club.

Besides co-running the blog for this book club, I have my very own book blog which I started sometime last year. There, I post reviews, book tags and lots of other stuff- bookish and non-bookish. Click here to check it out.

I'm also on Twitter, which I frequently update. My handle is @heartinthebooks. You can also find my book account on Instagram @heartinthebooks

If you want to stay tuned to my literary adventures and have discussions about books, feel free to add me as a friend here on Goodreads.

I look forward to connecting with all you interesting people! :)

And no, I cannot sing or dance, not even to save my life.

I love how you got Squeak...I can just imagine the poor thing tagging along with your cat! It's cruel how many people just throw their unwanted pets out!

Hi Miracle, don't worry, there is always plenty of time for introductions! What was the series? Did you enjoy it?

Wow, I can't imagine having that struggle! I do hate when books end, but I have no self control. I HAVE to finish it regardless of my internal struggle.

I hope that your recent book fixed the habit, but if not we will surely do what we can :D
