SPOILER - I have a question. I have watched the Robin Ellis series several times. I have just started reading the Angry Tide and am at the part where Drake is being set up by Demelza to meet a new girl and marry. In the series it is Miss Tamlyn, in the book it is Rosina Hoblyn. I wonder why they changed it for the series?

I just recently watched the original series and noticed this change as well. I have a theory--Did you notice that it was Rosina Hoblyn that Dwight treated earlier on? The one that Caroline visited periodically? Rosina is depicted as being youngish--Caroline brings her a doll and is appalled when she hears that Rosina's father is arranging a marriage. I think the writers may have felt that her storyline had played out and they needed a new character to play the part of the match that Demelza was working on.

I am just over half way through the Angry Tide, this isn't really a spoiler because it is in previous books. Was wondering if notorious men back in the 1800s expected to have there way with women they liked, even when the husbands were in the same crowd. Demelza doesn't like to be rude but she could have told Adderley to "Get Lost". Being her first time in London she didn't know what to say in a polite way. But at least she did later on, little knowing what was going to happen between Ross and Adderley. This is what makes Winston's books so dramatic. Hoping all this will be in the script when filming the series later.
