Adele (harukoraharu) oh dear :( I've had it on my library reservation list a while, and could be getting it at the weekend.

Read it, Adele. You may like it. I loved Sunset Song, Cloud Howe was excellent too but I enjoyed Sunset Song more. Still need to read Grey Granite. Sorry you didn't enjoy them, Kate.

Me too -- I had hoped to like it. But we all have different tastes, and obviously a lot of people did like it or it wouldn't have so many editions in print!

Inching my way this mountain!

Kate | 32 comments Just getting around to listing the rest of my Scotland reads for 2016:

#5 Aunt Epp's Guide for Life: From Chastity to Copper Kettles, Musings of a Victorian Lady

#6 The Wild Places

#7 Murder for Christmas has a short story by Robert Louis Stevenson

#8 Changeless Actually the whole series probably qualifies since the primary male is from Scotland, but in this book they travel to Scotland

#9 Lament for a Lady Laird

#10 Never Love a Highlander

I'd hoped to reach another level, but I'm reading through my TBR mountain in the order I received them, & not that many Scotland books came up. Hopefully 2017 will be better -- onward & upward!
