Wonderful! I'm so glad to hear this. I'll add you to the list. Which of your books would you like to giveaway and will it be an eBook, print or readers choice?

What about a signed first edition of Sell the Pig? The one with the photos in? Would that be all right?

Wow! How wonderful to see you here at the Francophiles Group Cara. It took me a moment, but I realized that you are the author of the Aimée Leduc Investigation series. I'm sure the group would be thrilled to have you offer your one of your books for a giveaway. I'll message you privately with details.

Anne Trager (anne_trager) | 14 comments Hi. I'd love to participate in a giveaway with some books from Le French Book (www.lefrenchbook.com) -- we publish translations of French mysteries and thrillers -- all by French authors, most set in France. We can do either ebook and/or print book giveaways and would be happy to participate regularly. Thanks so much. Anne

Laurette Long | 76 comments Just posted on the wrong group oops would love to do a giveaway but last time I tried Amazon said it wasn't possible for authors registered on the French site. Has anyone got an update on this policy?
Thanks Laurette

Laurette, you might want to contact Amazon support about this. They will have the definitive answer. Where are you located? Maybe you could offer a print book in Europe only? I'm not sure how much this would cost.

Best of luck,
-Linda

Thanks Linda, I'm going to send them an inquiry, the last time I asked the 'Support' team said they would bring the issue to the attention of Amazon, so maybe they've changed their policy.
My book is only in ebook format, so a giveaway would just be for e-readers.
I'm located in the Tarn in France. Just wondering if I should contact Tottie, she lives in a neighbouring department and I think she's managed to do giveaways; Will keep you posted!

She may just offer her mobi copy of her book. I hesitate to do this because I worry about digital rights management.

Catherine Berry | 14 comments Hi Laurette,
I have the same difficulty to gift my book from Australia. I contacted Amazon and they simply said that it would not be possible to do a gift unless I was registered on the American site - which they encouraged me to do. So, for my future giveaway on this site, I am unfortunately only able to offer a print copy.
I'll look out for your message regarding your reply from Amazon.

Laurette Long | 76 comments Hi everyone
Catherine, I just had the same reply from KDP: 'It is not possible to give away your book to a particular group through KDP' . The only thing I can do is schedule a free promotion, but that's not like a giveaway where there's only one winner. They didn't mention registering on the US site, but I know that if I try to buy a book directly from that site, I get a message re-directing me to the French site.
The other thing I came across while trying to sort out this particular problem was a site offering one of my books for a free PDF format download! Again, Amazon can't do anything, they are phishing sites, I'm going to have a look on different Goodreads groups to see if there are discussions about this.
Sorry about the giveaway Linda ;-(

Heather Francis | 3 comments Hi Linda,
I am the author of, 'Bonjour Darling' a travel memoir of my life in France. I am originally from Ireland and set out with my husband on our French adventure, a few years ago. The book has been really well received and rated 4.8 out of five stars on Amazon. I would be delighted to do a book giveaway on Goodreads, as I have two brand new signed copies available at the moment. It just seems the right time to promote the book again, as it is packed with first hand information on French life, ideal for all those who dream of a Francophile adventure. Do drop me a line if you would be interested, Linda. Many thanks, Heather Francis

Sunny Fields | 5 comments Hello Francophiles, like me,
I am putting together vignettes of our renovating a small apartment in country France. It has come out of my emails over a decade. It is a kind of memoir which sounds too fancy, so let's just call it a recount of all the dramas we had and being a 'drama queen' there were plenty to recall.
I have enjoyed seeing the funny side of a 'castrophe' so I hope that my collection is entertaining. As a retired teacher, I have had to do some information-giving on life in France. So I hope that it is something people wanting to live in France will find helpful, enlightening and being forewarned! I am looking for some beta readers who will say whether it is worth the paper it is written on. Sorry, no time for romance but there were a number of occasions when a murder could have been committed!

Joanne | 4 comments Salut! My name is Joanne Kimes and I just released my novel, Finding Paris, and would love to do a give away! It’s about two women who meet at a beginning French class in L.A. and become fast friends. When their lives fall apart, they say, “what the hell” and decide to spend a month in Paris where the city of lights teaches them everything they need to rebuild their lives. It’s full of romance, vintage flea markets, pastry classes, the French countryside and lots of bread. Hope the group finds it worthy of being included on their readings lists! Finding Paris
