Suggestions for March 2016 Group Read
I stayed out last poll because my perennial suggestion didn't fit the splatterpunk theme we were supposed to be voting on, but since there appears to be no theme for this month, I'm going again with The Girl with All the Gifts.
I'm going to go with Exorcist Road, in keeping with the theme of double-dipping on my reading challenge. :-)
My suggestions:
- I loved "Let the Right One In" and I've heard good things about this one.
- I've been wanting to read this forever and would love to do it with a group. I'm a sucker for books that give you a perspective from the eyes of a wacko/killer.
- I loved "Broken Monsters" and have this waiting to be read for awhile now. She is an excellent writer.
Hi, I'm new here, and I cannot find a list of all the (tons of, it looks like) books you've read already, so forgive me if this one has been read before: Audition.

Jaro wrote: "The Terror by Dan Simmons"Since I'm just about to start it, I'll go with Jaro's choice - The Terror
How about "Beauty of the Beast" by Viktoria Faust? A cracking read for all lovers of vampires, (or for anyone who wants to be one...) along the same lines as "Interview with the Vampire"...Viktoria Faust

I'd suggest Jonathan Janz' Dust Devils
, or some old-style, historical ghost fiction, Neil Spring's The Ghost Hunters
, or The Supernaturals: A Ghost Story
You know, I haven't read any Lebbon or Simmons in a while, so I'll also go with The Terror
or The Silence
.
or The Silence

I'll go with The Terror, too. I've tried to start it once already and got about 200 pages in before the unrelenting bleakness made me give up. Perhaps a joint read might be the spur I need.I'm not selling it very well, am I?
Thanks for guiding me, Charlene! That's a great list, it makes me think this is definitely a group for me! :)I would also like to second The Girl With All the Gifts, although I just read it myself. It was a very enjoyable, "light" and quick read that I recommend to those who haven't read it yet. Plus, the film is apparently in post-production, so now is the time!
Melissa wrote: "The Narrows by Ronald Malfi....beyond excellent! The Narrows"I second that and it's already on my "To Read" list, so...
The Terror looks good, but whew...almost 800 pages. I want to suggest Watchers by Dean Koontz. We've had a few group reads by King recently, how about one of the other greats?
Watchers has been on my list for decadesThe Djinn is high up on my short list
Nathaniel looks good too
I too would like to nominate The Terror as it is one of my favourites and definitely worth reading more than once :)
Christina wrote: "I've been wanting to reread Helter Skelter"I love that book, have you seen the movie they made from it.

Indeed. Despite it's size I may read this again if it gets picked.
It would be nice to read The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum. I`ve been putting it off for awhile now, and I`d like to sit down and and finally read it!

Mr.Splitfoot by Samantha Hunt"I got a free ARC of this and it's been sitting on my desk at work for a few months. Looks good.

Divide Then Conquer: Book 1 of The Zombie Company Crusade Series.
... I don't know why but that's not the updated book cover of Divide Then Conquer.

had I not already read it. I would definitely jump into a discussion about that book. It's really interesting, though I think 'Broken Monsters' is ultimately a better novel.
