I haven't been there yet, but thinking about a trip in 2017. This is where I've started with my planning.

And I'm also a Doc Martin fan, so Port Isaac (the stand-in for the fictional Portwenn) is on our list too.

Mara | 111 comments I would like to visit Cornwall in conjunction with the airing of the series. Perhaps one of these days for either the Season premier or the Season Finale with other Poldark fans gathered to watch together at an Inn or hotel or even a theater. And it would have to include a book discussion...and a Taste of Poldark event that includes Madeira cake, tart, sylabubs, wine & ale tasting, etc. And a costume try-on. When someone comes up with something like that I'll start making plans.

I'm making my plans to visit Cornwall next May (2017)! We have our flights booked and reservations for 3 nights at a hotel along the coast in Tintagel with a sea view. It's part of a 3 week trip that is planned to include Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, London, and Scotland.

Katie (katiepate) | 3 comments A friend and I walked part of the SW Coastal Path in September 2016. I am a massive Winston Graham fan and have read all of the Poldark books as well as Poldark's Cornwall. I also recommend Tessa Hainsworth's Up with the Larks to Americans who plan to visit Cornwall for the first time (I am from Oregon).

We walked from St Ives to Penzance, aware that season three was filming in Cornwall while we were there. Alas! No cast sightings. We did pass several filming sites, including the Geevor Mine area, Porthgwarra and Porthcurno Beach. At Land's End, one of the clerks told us that Aidan Turner was rumored to be about, but I'm pretty sure the show was filming around the Lizard at that time. The premiere took place in St Austell while we were in Sennen Cove. So close!

We spotted Poldark swag for sale in St Ives, as well as in the Roundhouse Gallery in gorgeous Sennen Cove, at Land's End, and in Mousehole and Penzance. Circa 21 in Penzance has cute porcelain "Mrs Ross Poldark" pins.

I am envious of you all and your upcoming trip to that magical part of the world! You probably already have this useful document, but it took me a while to find it as I prepared for my trip: https://www.visitcornwall.com/poldark...

I'll be touring Cornwall in May 2017 for a few days as part of a larger trip to Ireland and other places in the UK. I have a blog if anyone wants to follow along with my trip.
