English 4/3rd Hour discussion

This is a book I started reading on Saturday. I am on page 33. It tells the story of Anthony Patch, who is heir to his grandfather's fortune and lives in New York in the early 1900s.

One of Anthony's good friends, Dick Caramel, introduces him to his cousin, Gloria Gilbert. Gloria is a dancer, and is described as childish by both of the men because of her obsession with herself. But Anthony is infatuated with her and enjoys listening to her talk about herself. After inviting Dick and Gloria over for dinner one night, Anthony begins spending a lot of time with Gloria.

Good detail

I am in part two of the story now, and Gloria and Anthony are married. They only waited three weeks of an exclusive relationship before deciding to get engaged, and were married 3 months later. For their honeymoon they are travelling around the country and learning a lot about each other. Anthony is learning that Gloria is very selfish and self-obsessed, while Gloria describes Anthony as a coward. They get into arguments frequently, however, it describes that their love and passion continues to grow every day.
