Hmm. Maybe my preconceived notions thinking would be wrong also! Your review gives me hope for this series. Are you planning on finishing the series?

So many of my friends love The Maze Runner but hated the rest of the series. They say it doesn't give you closure or any answers. So, I'm holding out reading this until the last movie is out. If the movie ending is satisfying, then I'll read the books. I know that's an odd way to do it, lol.

I agree with your review! I just read it a few months back and really liked it. I didn't know what was going to happen!

I didn't know this. I was planning to continue, as well.

I'm your dissenting voice on this - I did not like this book at all, I could not even finish it. I found the dialogue corny, I felt the plot machinations to keep the reader in the dark had no point whatsoever, the characters didn't keep in character and had no appeal to me, and overall I thought it terribly contrived. I tried to read it because my daughter's best friend absolutely loved it, but my daughter had the same problems with it that I did.

I did think that the movie trailer looked good, though. According to my daughter she liked the movie better than the book. (Maybe because they changed a few things?)
