What about Finn?

Total spoilers ahead so stop reading if you have not finished the book...

I absolutely loved Wrong and Right and was so glad Jana decided to become an author! My discussion question is...Do you feel Everly let go of Finn to easily? If I was madly crushing on a guy for 16 years, I don't think after a week of his hot brother wooing me I would mentally just be moving on so easily. She never even mentions Finn again for the remainder of the book. I just feel it moved too fast for such a long stalker-ish crush.

i do agree with you, Everly just give up Finn so easily.

three hours vs 16 years, maybe some of us need the hints why Everly make the decision

I think it came down to realizing that Finn was not what she really wanted/needed. A girl like Everly would steamroll over a guy like Finn, she needed someone that would push back - be aggressive.

Ultimately, my thoughts on the E & F attachment was simply that Finn was this safety net vision of her perfect life. That with a guy as steady as Finn she wouldn't fall prey to a broken family that she was fearful of. It was all an illusion in her head and once Sawyer worked his way into her space, she started to see her feelings for Finn as what they were. Delusions. Being that Finn never paid her any real attention, there was no real relationship/feelings to get over - it was a mindset of not giving up on the chance that Sawyer could be more in the end.

Plus if you look back at the first meeting with Sawyer, Everly pretty much is already aware that Finn is not interested - she clearly notices the reactions of the two men - so I think at that point she just needed a shove to finally let it all go and embrace the idea of Sawyer.

I think Everly realized the chemistry she had with Sawyer surpassed the zero chemistry she had with Finn. She seems like the girl to follow her heart and when she saw Finn didn't take too well to her breaking into his apartment she realized things aren't working according to her plan to woo Finn.
