Ask away!

message 2: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) What time period does this take place in?

message 3: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Before Harry and Dumbledore and all the stuff in the books.

message 4: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Okay, thanks!

message 5: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Are there going to be any "groups" among the students?

message 6: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Sure, I can make a Group thread for that sort of thing. Like student clubs, you mean?

message 7: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Yeah kind of like that. I haven't read this far, but I think I saw somewhere that in the later books some of the students formed a Death Eaters club or something?

message 8: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Okay, I'm pretty sure this is a stupid question, but about what age are most 15 year old's parents. My parents were always so much older than everyone else's so I really don't know.

message 9: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It depends on if they have older children as well. My parents are 42, I have a 16-year-old brother. When I was 15, my parents were in their late 30's

message 10: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Thanks, that helps a lot! I swear my friends say my dad is as old as their grandparents so I'm kind of off on that.

message 11: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) No problem!

message 12: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Try a reverse Google image search

message 13: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) How do you do that?

message 14: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Right click on the image. Yeah very bottom of the menu should say "search google for image" or something similar.

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Thank you! Hope I'm not too much trouble. I'm clueless on these types of things.

message 16: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Nah, it's all right. It took me time to learn too

message 17: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Oh my goodness, it actually worked! You're a lifesaver!

message 18: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) No problem!

I'm not sure I remember that specific one, but a club page is a good idea. I'll make it this weekend sometime I hope.

juno. (junosummers) | 52 comments Do we have an RP Request thread yet, or did I miss it? :O

message 21: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
No, not yet. Figured I'd add that once the rp topics were up. Hoping to do that today!

message 22: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Is it possible for a character to be sixteen, but a fifth year?

message 23: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Yeah, totally. It's the same thing as a sophomore essentially. You start 15, then turn 16. Then you go into sixth year 16 and turn 17.

message 24: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Would it be possible for there to be muggleborn siblings that are both wizards or is that too unlikely?

message 25: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
It's possible. Though it'd be more likely if they have wizard blood somehow. Maybe an aunt was a witch or someone else they're related to?

message 26: by Jellybean (new)

Jellybean | 6 comments Do characters need to be approved before roleplay?

message 27: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Yes, they do.

message 28: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) What's it called when a wizard can't do simple magic very well?

message 29: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Uhhhh.....there's a name for that? I honestly don't think I know.

message 30: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Squibble maybe? Argus Filch was one.

message 31: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Squibs are people born into magical families and can't do magic at all

message 32: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Oh, and at what point in the school year are we starting this?

message 33: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
We'll start in the beginning-ish of the year. Just after the Sorting Hat Ceremony.

message 34: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Are there any big events that have happened in the wizarding world?

message 35: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
This is before any of the wars that are talked about in the books, so no, not really.

message 36: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) There wouldn't be a Marauder's Map or anything like it, right? Because it wouldn't exist yet.

message 37: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) What are all the different types of pets you can have at Hogwarts? I know on the acceptance letter it says cats, toads, and owls, but then Ron had a rat and I was just wondering if there was anything else that would be acceptable.

message 38: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
No to the first question. And I believe any small animals are allowed. Owls are encouraged because of mail, and most toads are used for spells. Cats are easy to take care of and can spend the day alone so they are also a good idea. No dogs, and nothing bigger than a regular sized dog.

message 39: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) I'm a bit confused on the blood status thing. I know that muggle-borns are from muggle families (obviously) and are kind of random. But to be a pureblood do you just have to have both parents that are wizards or do they both have to be purebloods? And is a half-blood a witch or wizard that had one wizard parent and one muggle parent or what?

message 40: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Purebloods are children of two people with magic. It doesn't matter the blood status of the parents. And yes, half-bloods have one magical parent and one muggle parent.

message 41: by kaya (new)

kaya (ananats) | 19 comments Can we create animagi?

message 42: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
Yes, but they cannot be students. Teachers definitely can be ones though.

message 43: by kaya (new)

kaya (ananats) | 19 comments Awesome! Thanks!

message 44: by Emma (last edited May 22, 2016 01:07PM) (new)

Emma (casualion) Would it be okay to make an animorphagus? Or would that be too rare? Also, they're kind of random aren't they? Like it doesn't come from ancestry, does it?

message 45: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Do you mean a metamorphmangus? The thing that stinks is?

message 46: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Tonks, not stinks. Wow, phone.

message 47: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Yeah, I think so. In the middle of reading Order of the Phoenix, guess I haven't quite looked at the spelling very hard yet.

message 48: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It's hard to get. I'm not even sure I spelled it right!

message 49: by Rose ♥, Headmistress Abbott (new)

Rose ♥ | 122 comments Mod
I'm not even going to attempt to spell it XD

I suppose that'd be okay. But if it's a student, maybe don't give them complete control over it?

message 50: by Emma (new)

Emma (casualion) Is someone going to create the Minister of Magic?
