Jennifer (JenJen1221) | 623 comments I saw that there weren't many romance books on here so I thought I would add this book. I finished it today for the challenge (a book published the year you were born...1985).

This was my second Ibbotson book and I liked it way more than A Countess Below Stairs.

It's about an english girl that wants to become a ballerina, but her uptight professor dad thinks badly on girls in general. So he won't allow his daughter to join a traveling dance company to the amazon. So this is her adventure to pursuing her dance career, but falls in love when she gets there.

Jennifer (JenJen1221) | 623 comments Lori...this book was really the cute romantic type...the boy who saves the girl from her meanie family. I didn't like the beginning of the book, it was a liitle too slow for me, but once it got to the main part...I was hooked. I wsa even giggling out loud in the end.

I think you'll enjoy it...especially you Fiona since you like Ibbotson.

Fiona...I'm becoming a fan of Ibbotson, so I think I'm gonna add A Morning Gift to my list : )

Lori (heylorikay) | 35 comments I read a song for summer and a Countess Below and really enjoyed both of them. I haven't read A Morning Gift. Im about to go to the bookstore though I might pick that and a company for swans up. Im in need of a break from this stressful adult books and need some good YA romance. =-) Fiona what crime book are you reading now?
