My review for My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises ( or My Grandmother asked me to tell you she's sorry) by Fredrik Backman

Guy, go read this book!!! I seriously LOVED it!! BY far one of my favorites of 2016!!

I loved all of the characters. Granny was a freaking riot, Elsa was sometimes a very big brat; as most 7-almost-8-year-olds, tend to be and at other times (most of the time) a very endearing child. I fell in love with every supporting characters story. Wolfheart, who has been irrevocably damaged from the things he had done in war; the woman in the black skirt who lost her family in a tsunami and is having trouble moving on, Maud and Lennart who have a son worth despising and trying to protect their grandson from said son, and even Britt-Marie who is in a terribly depressing marriage and is just trying to keep her head above water.

Each characters story is at some point tied to another’s and the thing keeping them together is Granny. However, Granny is not without her own set of problems and regrets. Upon her death she send Elsa on a quest to apologize to each house member for her, but this quest has much more meaning than a simple apology for all the wrongs her granny had committed.

This quest sends Elsa on a journey to knowing the people living in her home, and helps her heal after her Granny's death; in turn Elsa is helping her flat mates to also take the step towards healing.
This book is extraordinary, and beautiful, and EVERYONE should read it ASAP!
