I'm eager to read it Bill, but I'd even more so love to see it. I wonder when this play will be performed in the US?

As would I. If it's successful it will certainly play around the world.

Tickets for the production on Broadway in New York go on sale October 18, though the show itself isn't scheduled to open until Spring 2018.

There was a copy of this that showed up in my library for sale. The binding was broken (but a little glue will fix it) so I picked it up for 10 cents. Yep, 10 cents. Don't know when I'll get around to it though. Someday. Someday.
As a trans person, I want to remind everyone in this supposedly LGBTQ supportive group that Rowling is a virulent transphobe who uses her wealth to harm trans people and by extension all queer people, and supporting her work supports the harm she does.
as a trans person, I'm quite disappointed in just how many people are willing to give their money to JKR
Hi CJ, OliverAs a bisexual 14 year old and a proud ally, I am in no means supporting JKR. I'm kinda sad that we now have to either support JKR, which means that we are transphobic, or not able to read her books. I am proud of all trans people, and as my best friend is trans, I'm quite disappointed with your comments. Me and my friend (who is trans) absolutely love Harry Potter, but that doesn't make us transphobic. Thank you!
I'm just going to say this: there is no way to engage with JKR or her work without simultaneously also directly supporting her transphobia. Being a part of the community or having trans friends does not in any way change this fact. You may not directly be prejudiced towards trans people, but you ARE directly funding the author's campaign towards erasing trans people's rights in the UK and worldwide. This being said I'll leave this group since anywhere that discusses or promoted HP books is not a safe space for trans people, and I refuse to engage with that.

"The crowd was stunned on the first night of previews for J.K. Rowling’s ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’—and not just because an owl got loose in the auditorium.
LONDON — The most eagerly awaited play in modern theatrical history has begun with a bang, a whizz, and plenty of shocking plot twists.
Just a few hundred people now know what happened to Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the decades after leaving Hogwarts."
