Tony Abbott is an awarding winning author. According to his website, he has written over 100 books. He is one of my inspirations. When I was teaching second grade, I was always trying to inspire my reluctant readers. I found his Underworlds series (4 books) a winner in some of my young friends' hands. The books are fast-paced, easy flowing with just enough detail to get a reader trapped in their prose. I sometimes turn to them to inspire my own writing.
