Still haunted by Alice’s disappearance over twenty years later, Abner is an unpleasant moody adult. He despises everything that is even remotely mad, including his late father, the Mad Hatter.

Abner doesn’t take the insane asylums in the Kingdom of Hearts seriously. However, when the queen deems him “evilly” mad, he flees in order to live out the rest of his days alone and unbothered. At least, that is his original plan, before an old (yet new) friend joins him during his travels. Abner is not only saved from himself, but he is given the strength and courage to search for the last person who made him feel happy: Alice.
