Nicole Diamond | 18 comments This series is a wonderful set of stories that felt possible. The premise is that when Rome was withdrawing from Britain some of the more astute Romans saw an opportunity to build a life in the British realm. Knowing the lack of Roman soldiers and law would open the area up to chaos if nothing else, these people banded together - choosing those people who had specific needed skills for when they were 'on their own'. These are the families from which Arthur and Merlin descended. The series is interesting and you can imagine that it could very well have been this type of life in the mid 5th century. Enjoy!
