Have Fun
Helen
I'm in too. Guess what? I'm going to be at Cobar with the family.. No internet access etc, limited electricity etc etc. I'm going on the proviso that I can take unlimited books. The only thing will be posting results. I'll text you as I go Brenda, if I get coverage (usually have to stand on a hill to make calls). Will be a fun process I'd say ;)
That's fine if you want to text me with your totals Suzanne :) Have a wonderful time!
And yes Talha any book you like so long as it fits the guidelines :)

I am in, not sure how much reading I will be able to get done but sounds like just the thing I need to push me through to finish off a couple of challenges.
Every little bit helps but yes, use it as that push if you need it Michelle - the read-a-thon will benefit as well as you ;)

As long as you can give us a final page count for the 3 days read at the end that will be fine :)

Incidentally, for this kind of challenge, where we count pages rather than books, could the rules be relaxed to include published novellas and short stories? Might broaden some interest in other forms of literature.
But I understand if it's too much trouble.

You can read as many books as you like Mack! Some people read 3 or 4 over the time period :)

It's 3 full days Connie so if you can only do two that's excellent :)

Sounds like it is time to remind everyone of our rules:**All books must be at least 125 pages long
**Re-reads are allowed (unless otherwise stated)
**If books are written by more than one author you can use either of the authors in challenges
**Short story collections and anthologies are allowed but only if you read the entire book and they meet the page limit requirement of 125
Unless they are specifically asked for as part of any challenge we will NOT accept:
**Children's books - unless they have YA or Middle Grade designator on main page
**Fan fiction
**Manga, Comic Books, Newspapers, Magazines and Graphic Novels
**Cookbooks
For those of you who say short stories should be counted - look at the rules - short stories are allowed - but read the whole book.
We moderators didn't come up with the idea of rules to be difficult. These rules were decided on so that there is conformity across the board. Many other groups have the same rules so we are not an aberration.
We also received a few complaints about various reading techniques - so to be fair we decided to see what other groups were doing in their challenges and adapting some of them to suit ourselves.
Trust me - we are very laid-back compaired to some draconian rules.
In the end it is your choice. We are up front about the fact we have them. We mention them when we announce every challenge. They should not come as a surprise. If you have problems with following a few not very difficult rules - and it upsets you to be asked to conform then then you can withdraw from the challenge.
We really hope you don't because it is suppose to be fun.
Count me in. I'm on a free intro month for Kindle Unlimited so have access to unlimited books and have found a great British series with 21 titles. (No I don't think I can get thru them all for the challenge).
