Payson gestured around to the big house and grinned. "Here we are! Home sweet home!"

"SURPRISE ATTACK!" a young girl's voice shrieked and a blur of pink knocked Payson over from above.

"Hey! Get off!" Payson yelped, bucking his little sister away. "It'll be a little harder than that I think," he told Freedom.

The little girl studied Freedom and grinned. "PAYSON HAS A GIRLFRIEND!" she yelled at the top of her lungs and a bunch of other blurs appeared. They stopped and turned into two younger boys and a man and a woman.

"Goshfriggendangitsometimesijustwannastrangleallofyou," Payson grumbled unintelligibly. "She's not my girlfriend she's trying to get a plant so she can heal her friend."

The man raised an eyebrow. "So you're assuming we'll let you raid our garden?"

"Dad seriously. Please. All we need is one of the (something) plants and then she can go about her merry way," Payson reasoned.

His dad grunted then blurred and was gone. The woman smiled at Freedom. "Don't mind him. He's in a mood today. Go right on back." She and the other children blurred and vanished too.

Payson rolled his eyes and ran ahead to open the gate into the garden. "We have a toddler. We wouldn't put landmines in our front yard."

"Cool." Payson lead her to the (whatever) plants. "I think you only need one for it."

"Do you know how to remove it without getting poisoned?" Payson asked.

"Um, lets not." Payson blurred over to the plant and quickly yanked it out of the ground and tossing it high in the air. It started steaming, but stopped by the time Payson caught it again. He handed it to Freedom. "If you get poisoned too then I'l have to save both you and Jade."

Payson snorted. "You gotta make her eat it."

Jade was frozen still but if she had any sort of consciousness she would be giving Freedom a "Dur!" look.

((Freedom: *BRUTALLY SHOVES THE PLANT DOWN JADE'S THROAT TO HEAL HER FROM HER ILLNESS*))

Jade is still frozen but now she's eating the plant so yay her.

Jade slowly started breathing and chewing the rest of the plant on her own.

Jade bolted up into a sitting position and gagged. "What did you feed me!?" she choked out.

"She's alive!" Payson exclaimed like Dr. Frankenstein.

Jade looked at him. "Payson...?"

Jade yelped and huffed. "I thought he was a dragon..."

Payson shrugged. "I saved you from getting poisoned too. Toodloo!" He blurred and was gone.

Jade nodded. "Huh. Interesting. Yeah I'm good. Did Fleet get away?"

"Uuuugggghhhhh. I can't wait until he's just like dead or something so he'll leave me alone," Jade grumbled.

"I've tried but the freak escapes to the Cursed Meadows. I followed him in there one time but I got lost for like five days and I didn't sleep like at all because I kept feeling him nearby and he has a friend in there that likes messing with people so they just tormented me the whole time."

"Yeah. Thanks for that, by the way." Jade smiled. "How do you contact the ghost?"

"Aw it's a birdy!' Jade smiled happily. She liked birds.

"What does he say?" Jade asked.

"Wonderful. Let's go there then." Jade nodded.

"Nah. I'm as fit as a fiddle! Unless you want to pause I'm good to go."

Jade pouted. "Fine fine."

Jade smiled at Arthur. "Where are we going?"

"Fun." Jade started fluttering after Arthur.

"You're welcome to cancel lunch," Jade chirped.

"Noooooo!" Jade pointed to a rock and lightning struck it, burning it black. "Huh... rocks aren't even supposed to burn like that... New lightning discovery!"

"I'm a goin' I'm a goin'!" Jade flew higher out of Freedom's range.

Lyle padded along on Freedom's other side under Jade.

((*phew* For a second I thought I would have to have Jade make some book nerd comment))

"Um..." Jade cocked her head and looked down at her dog. "How did I find you?" She thought hard for a moment. "Oh yeah! He used to be my dads dog! I wouldn't really remember because I erased all memory of that backstabbing lunatic. I saved Lyle when my mom and brothers and I ditched my dad."

Jade nodded. "Sadly. I would have been quite the girl in the human world." She gestured to her wings. "I've read about these people called fangirls and fanboys and they base their whole lives around us Mythicals. But it's weird! Their lives revolve around Mythicals, but they don't even know that we actually exist."

"How about you?" Jade asked.

"Are you an original Mythical or are you from the human world?"

"It can't be that bad... How'd you find Arthur?"

"And, he can shapeshift?" Jade glanced at the wolf.

"Lyle did that on his birthday." Jade nodded and snickered at her joke.

"Not really. That happens here all the time. This place has the weirdest hybrids."

"Yeah. Are we there yet? I have a hankering for some raw fish!" she said in a southern accent.

"Yeah you did, actually."

"Well then. Off to go find Fleet!"
