Did u read the first two books in this "series"? Cuz i didnt find your reviews...

Started this one .. Overall, im again dissatisfied with the tone of this book ... She is a whiny rich girl and we don't really know anything about her except that she is "weird" and has no friends... Ok .... And that a dude sleeps in her dorm room/bed, even though he's not her boyfriend... I find that strange also.

Not to me tion her stalkerish behavior towards Josh (is that his name?) ... Wow ... Embarrassing... She's supposedly 17... Not 12!

I did read the first two books, I just hadn't gotten around to reviewing them yet. But I whole heartedly agree. Isla is super cringey the way she follows Josh around, I usually can't stand the stereotypical rich girl characters who stay static throughout the entire storyline; all said I don't think I'm going to be able to finish this one.

Omg, i'm about 70% through this one - i am hating it!

Sooo , by now, Isla has mentioned MULTIPLE times how left out she feels that she wasn't part of Josh's past and she is jealous of DRAWINGS of St.Clair, Meredith, Ellie and Anna that are on Josh's dorm walls. She keeps saying how she cringes every times she sees or thinks of his friends, knowing she was never a part of that. For heaven's sake, girl!! Do you need to be a part of everything he was ever a part of in order to be with him now without "cringing" and getting jealous fits?!

Then - they do the whole Barcelona thing - (view spoiler)[I honestly wasn't sure why this was such a big deal - they are 18, why wouldn't they be able to be somewhere overnight on a weekend?! IF they were in a regular school, no one would care, but because this is a private school this is now a matter of suspension and expulsion?!?!?!?!?!? Also - her douchey friend Curt had to rat her out, didn't he?!?! I get that he's autistic but that doesn't excuse him for not keeping his mouth shut!! And her sister - the idiot, looking for a blowdryer?! I thought Isla said she's let all her friends know where they were so that no one looks for them and acts suspicious and gets them into trouble - yet you don't tell your sister?! Anyways - Josh getting expelled for this?? Really?! It really doesn't seem like a big deal at all ! An 18-year-old (this is of AGE for drinking, driving, voting, etc... in France) spends one night during the WEEKEND away from his dorm - big freakin' deal ! (hide spoiler)]

Ok, then, we have Isla being an idiot again when he sends her his manustript - (view spoiler)[ She gets jealous of his friends, and feels a "twinge" for not being a part of his past life ... ok loser! And then goes over the top, being jealous of his girlfriend - who he broke up with ages ago ... THEN she is HURT when she finds out he was the top student in their class: "Finding out Josh was at the top of our class, and not me, hurt! It really hurt!" > ummm, what?! What a pathetic loser! It's your boyfriend, why would you have the need to compete with him?! Then when he calls her (from the White House - LOOOOOL!) she bitches him out about his manuscript! The guy sent her his most private , diary-like manuscript and she bitched him about about stuff she read about in there ... I mean - the stuff wasn't even bad - it was regular teenage crap, she just made a huge deal about it for NO REASON!! (hide spoiler)]

I find it very hard to like her, and even harder to relate to her ...

What did you think about the first two books?

Tbh, I barely made it through the first two books also, I know a lot of people have read and liked the series but I just couldn't bring my self to see all the hype

yeah - as you can see in my reviews of the first two books - I wasn't a fan ... I wanted to give them a try because of all the hype ... but I just couldn't make myself like them!!

For what?!?! Why?!?!? Because she felt that he was gonna dump her first?! But basically, she blames him for a ton of things that weren't even his fault and she puts words in his mouth and thoughts in his head ... What';s the deal with her repeating that he only wants her as a "place keeper" / as a person to be a standin girlfriend until he finds someone better and moves on?! He never ever acted or treated her like that ! He never did anything to justify her thinking this of him! Omg, I want to slap this girl!

I did finish it, and I'm just as disappointed with the ending as I was with the entire plot. Usually I love happy endings, but I don't think she deserved to get Josh back. I haven't reviewed it yet but I will by the end of the week

I know - I felt the same - she didn't deserve to get him back after the way she treated him ... and I feel bad for the guy - imagine him having to deal with her unfounded insecurities for years to come ?!

I honestly thought he dodged a bullet with isla, but apparently he thought otherwise
