Hello the group! I finally have my collection
cleaned up and on sale - and it is also likely to be available for your library to pick up.In addition to LibraryDirect, Baker & Taylor's Axis 360, and Gardner's Books, it is available on Overdrive:
https://www.overdrive.com/media/27983...
I think most libraries set up for digital will use one or more of these services, so if the following sounds intriguing, ask your library to carry it:
Looking for an exciting, suspenseful trio of full length standalone novels that will keep you turning the pages, without running into language and scenes that make you cringe? Look no further!
Books One through Three of the Boys of Syracuse, Kansas series were originally pretty clean: no sex, and only brief graphic violence, but there were those pesky four letter words that stop some discerning readers on a dime. They would probably be rated PG-17 LV.
The Clean Collection has been edited for that offensive content without losing any of the excitement or flavor of the originals. So you can turn the page without hesitation for what you will find. There is still brief violence, a small amount of which may be considered mildly graphic, but nothing is gratuitous. The rating could safely be called PG-13 V, now.
Last Shot at Justice: Detective Mitzi Reardon doesn't know what she did to anger her boss, but he is gunning for her. Literally. Now a prostitute is dead, and she is the prime suspect with the law hot on her heels. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Mitzi's only hope lies in the hands of Blue Thomas, a chivalrous cowboy from Kansas.
Last Second Chance: An ex-con's search for a new start in a small Kansas town leads to a chance at a life and a love he never expected. But the life he left behind won't stay quietly in his past.
One Last Song: In a bold operation that leaves the tiny town of Syracuse reeling, Kylie and Jax are kidnapped. Getting nabbed for human trafficking would be bad enough, but their captors have an additional agenda.
Hello again,I'm doing a drive to get more reviews on two of my books, and by drive, I mean I've got them available via InstaFreebie so you can download a free PDF, read, and hopefully be inspired to post an honest review.
One book is Suspense with a Dash of Romance, and the link to the InstaFreebie is https://www.instafreebie.com/free/TEGOq
The other is YA Historical Fantasy, but is something the whole family can love. The link to it's InstaFreebie is https://www.instafreebie.com/free/VVess
They are both the first books in their respective series, and they are clean reads, although it should be noted that the two other individual books in the Suspense series have some coarse language in them - if you are inspired to seek out the other two books, be sure to get the Collection. The Collection has clean versions of all three books.
I hope you enjoy these books, and I look forward to reading your reviews.
Best of everything,
Kristi
Hello my fellow book lovers,I hope this meets you well. I would like to share with you my newly released fantasy book, called 'The Boy in the Painting', The Time Shield Series Book 1. First of all, it is a clean read with no gratuitous gore, or profanity in sight! Secondly, it mixes an original take on fairy folk, with the idea of an everyday superheroine, in both unique fantastical settings, as well as a relatable small town.
Here is a brief summary:
Curious seventeen-year-old Sarah Brown, has been living with her aunt in the sleepy town of Cherryfield for the past three years, following a period of family instability. One day on a class trip at her town's art gallery, Sarah stumbles upon Mark Louis de la Mer. He is a fairy-human hybrid, who, in 1908, was hidden in a Time Shield disguised as a painting by his supernatural mother following the murder of his father. Due to the unforeseen presence of a Holding Spell, Mark has since been trapped. .
Sarah is fascinated by the world her new acquaintance inhabits, but is fascination enough to risk attempting to assist his escape?
If successful, Mark's escape is sure to bring the supernatural into Cherryfield. Battling goblins and rostilomonstros certainly takes magical skills. Keeping nosey town folk, school mates, and family out of danger, could be even more tasking. A warring royal family, time travel, fairy folk, betrayal, and love ... Welcome to The Time Shield Series.

Historical fiction--what setting?
Hi Angela,I'm actually in the middle of retooling the trilogy into a pure fantasy, because I feel like I can take the settling into more places than if I leave it as historical.
Originally, it was set in early 1600s, on a fictional island "off the coast of Ireland." Now it is a pure fantasy world. I hope to have it ready for relaunch in October. Just doing a final run through to make sure I haven't overlooked any Earth references. I also put all three books into one, so instead of being a trilogy, it's a novel in three parts, called To Make A King.
Unfortunately, I haven't had as much time to write as I like, so the next book won't be out until next year, I'm afraid. But there should be several more. I'm excited by the world I've created and have many ideas I just have to find the time to write down.
If you think your daughter would like it, I can fast-track a copy of the new version to you, or you can still get a copy of the original trilogy from my website. I'm confident she'll adore the strong females in each part of the story.
