What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

SOLVED!This book was set in NSW or Victoria Australia in 95-99, the two girls were interested in name meanings. Sari comes up with the idea to create a world, when they are meant to be going on a school ski trip. Sari needs Rose/ Roseanna to help her (I think because of her gypsy heritage). Rose/Roseanna thought her name meant something else but it comes from hrosanna meaning horse therefore when they go to the world they create she becomes a horse unable to communicate with anyone. Sari comes from Sarah which means princess so she becomes a princess in their world. There was a boy love interest who also winds up coming with them, but he doesn't realise the horse he finds in the woods is Rose/Roseanna, I remember him patting the horse and she still had ticklish knees like she had in her human form. There was a scene in the snow and a chapter called snow blind. I can't remember the cover and I thought the book was written by a fairly popular Australian author of the 90's but I haven't had any luck searching elsewhere.
