Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 258 comments I haven't garnered a new completionista author for quite some time. But I accidentally encountered Sullivan's books in The Village Bookshop while browsing for something else. The spine of one of her books resembled a spine of one of Sorrentino's novels. And then I found he'd blurb'd her. So I brought home three of hers ; happily they were signed! Then I order her other two. Now I only have one left to read. All in about a month's time.

Dead Magician
The Correspondence
Games of the Blind
Four of Fools
The Concise Book of Lying (for the completionization!)

Over all I'd say she's writing some enthralling genre stuff ('thrillers' I suppose they're called) with a very delicious metafictional touch. There may be a slight bit too much mad love through her novels for some of you to handle (like me!) but the whole works wonderfully.

Read them all!

Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 258 comments A month and ten days later I've completed Sullivan. Here's my ranking (which I typically can't do, but.....)

1) The Correspondence
2) Dead Magician
3) Four of Fools
4) Games of the Blind
5) The Concise Book of Lying

2 & 3 are close.

Still can't quite grasp the fact that no one reads her.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 57 comments I think I'll add your recommendation of The Correspondence. I doubt I'll be a completionist, but one of the great things about this group is an introduction to authors I might not otherwise have tripped over.

Interesting page.
