So to start out now, the blackwell brothers have tracked jace to the rocky mountains of montana where they brutally torture and kill the police chief for information of jake's whereabouts. the blackwell brothers also gets the name of ethan's wife where then they go and try to get information out of her. she manages to escape but gives up that they are in the mountains by burning her house down."they speak strangely... not accents, just the way they say things. like they're alone in the world. like it was built for the two of them and they are lords over it( pf 183). It is like these evil men have no fear of justice or redemption, just the sight or hearing of their voices can tell you they are bad men. .ethan catches word that his wife has been hospitalized and rushes down the mountain to go see her. but jace knowing that the blackwell brothers are out there runs away. "Well, Ethan thought, That answers that. The killers had come for connor, and connor was gone. ( Pg 145)"This to me i felt like when the book started to heat up and really started to get more intense and interesting . all the while a raging fire has been burning through the countryside(started by the blackwell brothers) Jace runs to the fire lookout tower and gets a woman named Hannah Faber to help him. One of the blackwell brothers goes and kidnaps ethan and in exchange for ethan helping them find jace they would let his wife live. Then they go off into the countryside to find jace in the mountains of montana.

Greta | 9 comments I agree that something is definitely off with these men. That's some psycho stuff! The book sounds really descriptive and jam packed with action. Lots of kidnapping and torture.
