Not sure what you're asking, but I'm finding my blog (www.paulwwest.com) where I'm trying to promote my book Bridgetown High, doesn't bring in much traffic. I find I get more traffic from my Writer's page on Facebook.
Read marketing, blogging and social media roundup posts, Guest post frequently and strategically. Guest blogging is one the best ways to increase visibility, gain influence in your genre or topic and draw targeted readers to your online ‘bookstore’ or author site. Participate in or organize a virtual blog tour, blog hop or sharing contest. Submit your article to a link roundup. All of these courtesy of Kindlemojo.com and the list of 71 Ways to Promote and Market Your Book.Personally, I try to promote my books on blogs and do guest interviews. I've done over 12 interviews for each of my four books and I have a list of them on my website. The site above suggests you try to time your guest blogs and interviews around the same time so that your name is out there and people are more prone to check you out when they see your name in various sites. I've had some fairly decent success with doing guest interviews, blog posts, cover reveals and more but I haven't timed them well only because the scheduling of the interview is't up to me. Sometimes I'll ask for an interview to coincide with my being a guest on another site's blog but the person gives me March when I'm aiming for November. So anytime I can plan several features and guest posts during the same week I am all for it.
