Haaave Ya Met... discussion

I wrote a short story (15984 words) quite some time ago and I would like to share it but it is kind of all over the place and needs a looking over.
It's set in a morally confused medieval world and it is about a strong, physically imposing woman who escapes slavery and goes on the run with an infatuated young minstrel. Adult content and themes
I'm a part time mature student so it's not likely I'll be able to afford a professional edit for quite some time.

Fantastic, thank you. I'll send it as soon as I can get to my laptop.
It was the first and remains only creative writing I've ever done, areas of concern I'd say would character consistency and pacing. It's also quite sharp, if you get me. Maybe Abrupt would be a better word?
which format would you prefer? Word, PDF, Epub?
