Wishing you all my fabulous members a Happy New Year. May the year bring you an abundance of love, joy and happiness. May you all be blessed with excellent health and prosperity. May you read plenty and clean up that TBR list as much as possible.

Happy New Year Breesc23! You aren't being delusional before the baby is born but after.....well you will be lucky to eat or sleep

I actually read alot when my daughter was a newborn. We would snuggle and I would read. That changed though once she got more mobile and now I only read during naptimes or after she goes to bed lol

That's because you have an angel Kasey. Not that Breesc won't but you were lucky to do that. My first had colic, ugghhh! My second was a very good baby but I had so much to do that when he slept I had to catch up on housework etc.

Is anyone else having issues adding books to read or currently reading to your shelf? Every time I try to add a book this message pops up...There was an error adding the book to your shelf, please try again...so frustrating cause I'm stuck and can't do anything ugh posted on GR in their BUGS sections and hoping to get some answers.

I was, but I just exited then got back on and it worked again. I'm on a horrible phone though, don't know if that makes a difference

I don't believe I have had any problems but then again I haven't added many books lately. Well, I guess I did for my jar and don't remember any problems.

Bree (breesc23) So random, but is time travel considered fantasy or Sci fi? Or something else entirely?

message 32: by ♥ Rebecca ♥ (last edited Jan 07, 2017 06:14PM) (new)

♥ Rebecca ♥ | 1653 comments Breesc23 wrote: "So random, but is time travel considered fantasy or Sci fi? Or something else entirely?"

Depends on what causes the time travel. Back to the Future and The Time Machine would be sci-fi because it is science and a machine that causes it. The Time Travelers Wife and Outlander would be fantasy or paranormal because it is magic or an innate ability like a superpower.

I am kind of obsessed with these kind of questions. The finer points of genres and their definitions and subgenres.

Great video on your journal books. I used to keep so many journals and need to start again. I loved my gratitude journal and I did a virtual journal on Instagram a year ago about what I'm thankful for but that didn't last lol

Since this is a chit chat thread I'm going to assume I can whine a little. My baby turned 17 in December, got his license, got a job and now I never see him anymore. I keep saying he will be a senior next year and he corrects me and tells me it will be this year. Man, he has grown up so fast. So, does anyone know how I can reverse time and make him my baby boy again?

message 47: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 13086 comments Mod
Oh, Tracy, I wish I can help you there. I'm yet to experience this myself but my eldest nephew is turning 16 this year and although he already has a job, he will be getting his license too. It's crazy how quick and big they grow...wish I knew how to stop time for just a moment.

message 48: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I'm sorry Tracy, I know how you feel! My oldest 3 kids just recently graduated, but I still have one left at home :) My 13 year old baby girl. But yes, its so hard to let go when they grow up! Luckily, my kids are all close by still, and my boys are still living at home even though I don't see them a lot!
