What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi! TIA for any help in figuring out the title to this book! The book has a clan from another time that is living in the present. The hero is a part of this clan. He meets his heroine in the present day future where he is at but she accidentally goes back in time and he rescues her, I believe. I know there's a cabin in the story where the heroine goes to talk to an old lady. I can't remember, but I was thinking the clan was there as protection but not sure. Racking my brain trying to figure this one out! Thanks again. :)

What triggers the time travel? What does the heroine first see when she travels back in time - where does she land?

Can you tell us more about the heroine - her job, family/friends, what's she doing in Scotland? before she travels back in time, etc.?

Whew! I can't think of when. It's been a few years, I believe, but I read so much there's no telling what year the story was published. It's definitely an adult romance and more current, not 90s or above, I wouldn't think. I can't remember what she was there for. I know the Hero's family has a medieval background , like sword fighting, I think. There's one brother, that is married already in this book, so I'm not sure if it's a series or not. The heroine goes back in time through some woods, I think, after talking with an old lady in a cabin. If I remember right, the Hero rescues her and they ride a horse back through the woods searching for the cabin. Im trying to remember more specifics to help and I've been searching like crazy to find clues but it's been tough.

It's possible the family men are protectors of the area. I might be mixing up a book, but I think I remember the heroine hearing bagpipes from ancestors while she was in the area. Maybe sword fights?

Still looking. The plot is set where the clan is in present day, but they are from another time. The h was staying at a rental house near or on their property. I believe there was a witch or magical person that lived in a house nearby in some woods. One day the h finds herself sent back in time and she needed to get rescued. It’s been bugging me for years that I can’t find it. Lol
