Here you can discuss Kaden, the rebellious, but loveable twin brother of Kyrin, who happens to be one character I tend to fangirl over regularly. It's not weird to fangirl over your own characters, right? ;)

Of course not! :) Kaden was definitely my second favorite male character. Hm... Jaye, you and I keep liking the same characters. ;)

Haha, I just adore Kaden. :D And the crazy thing is, there was no Kaden when I first started writing Resistance! I was several chapters in--past the promotion ceremony, I think--before I had the idea for him. Something just wasn't right with Kyrin or her story. She seemed so . . . alone and too tough from having to defend herself all the time. Then, suddenly, Kaden popped into my mind and changed everything. I can't even imagine the story without him.

What? There almost wasn't a Kaden? That would have been a travesty, a complete and total tragedy!

I love Kaden!!! He always stood up for his sister and they loved each other so much!!!

I'm super glad Kaden was in Resistance. I do agree that Kyrin would be too lonely. I can't imagine living without my sister! I admire how he stood up for her. I hope he'll always be there when she needs him!

I agree! That's one of the biggest things I loved about this series is how God has put inspiration in my head right when I needed it. He knew what the story needed.

Brothers are awesome. :) I'm glad I had lots of firsthand experience to draw on for Kaden.

I really appreciated Kaden! Since I have an awesome brother, I love to see awesome brothers in literature!

Brothers are so much fun to write. There will be plenty more sibling scenes to come involving Kaden.

I envy those who have brothers old enough to know from personal experience. I was 20 before I got my one and only brother.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a thing for twins (I have numerous ones in my writing - even entire cultures built upon them), so Kaden was definitely a favorite for me. And he and Kyrin had such a wonderful relationship!

I hear you Faith, I was only ten when I got my one and only brohter, but still! I've often wished for a brother nearer my age.

I wish I had a brother. I only have sisters. A twin brother like Kaden would be awesome.

And here I only know what it's like to have brothers. No sisters.

That's cool, Jaye; I'm so glad you added him in! He's a great character.

Kaden almost didn't exist? Oh horror! :O He's my third favorite character! (Jace first, then Trask, then Kaden.) He's so fun. And I loved the few seconds when he and Jace interacted! It's so fun when your favorite characters talk to each other. :D

I totally fangirl over my own characters. And Kaden is very fangirl-worthy.

How many brothers do you have, Jaye? (By the way, whenever I try to write (or say) Jaye, I end up typing/saying Jace, and vice versa . . . Was the one letter difference an accident or not? XD)

Haha, the name similarities is actually an accident. I didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out. But it's actually quite fitting since Jace is sort of, in some ways, the male version of me.

But anyway, I have two younger brothers. My middle brother and I area lot like Kyrin and Kaden because I don't try many new things without him. We're always hanging out and doing fun stuff.

I love Kaden!!!! He's so stubborn, and loves food, and will always, always stick up for kyrin. he is so easy to get to love!!

Ah Kaden ;D He's one of the main things that made me want to read this book! I read the Amazon preview chapters and he and Kyrin blew my mind! They were such awesome, real characters! From then on I knew I had to read the whole book!

And man, he made me cry when he was watching the crowd as they tried and hurt Kryin...

I also loved when he just flat out told the emperor to not even bother taking him to the temple!

oh I love when he says that, and it is very sad when he had to watch her get hurt.

Today is Kaden's character birthday! Three years ago he first came into being. I had been writing Resistance since June, and all of a sudden, Kaden showed up in my mind. I was like, "Whoa, Kyrin has a twin brother?!! I did not see that coming. Will it even work?" Well, not only did it work, but the series would not be the same without him. Neither would Kyrin. After all, she would have had to stand up to bullies and take care of herself all on her own.

Yay! We love you, Kaden, happy birthday! :)

I like Liam better, too. :) Not a lot, but a little.

Oooh HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY KADEN! :D That's awesome! The characters that you weren't planning are always the best! Now how many candles are on his cake . . . Three? Or eighteen? Or twenty if he was seventeen when he popped up three years ago. XD Truth to tell near the beginning I would have been quite bored with Kyrin if she didn't have Kaden with her.

I really like Liam too (And Marcus - I feel bad for him)...not sure if I like him more than Kaden though...hmmmm... :P

I really like Liam. I've had mixed feelings towards Marcus because of spoilers, but I like him now. I really like Kaden, though, but that's probably mostly because he's Kyrin's twin brother. I wish I had a twin brother, but I don't have any brothers at all.

I would love to have a twin brother, but I would LOVE to have a big brother. I'm the oldest so I only have younger brothers.

I always wanted an older brother since I'm the oldest too. A lot of the stories I wrote when I was younger had great older brothers.

Ha, I've invented some older brothers for myself at some points ;) I also just remembered I created a character to be my twin brother. ;D

I've always wanted an older brother too but instead God gave my a younger one. I was an only child for twelve years before we adopted.:)

My memory or Liam and Marcus isn't very good, but I think I thought Liam was adorable and Marcus had to be a bit of a jerk because he's oldest but I felt sorry for him.

Kyrin is three minutes older. I really like Liam. He's sweet and ill used. Marcus has some issues, but he's not so bad.

Right! Okay. I think Kaden's sore about it. XD

I can't remember everyone's "birthdays." I only remembered Kaden's because I wrote about it in my five year diary. Jace's character birthday is June 27. Kyrin and Rayad were probably created the same day, otherwise the day after. They were the first three characters of the series.

And not too much longer until everyone can read TKS! :D
