During the years 1983-84, I had a journalism fellowship that enabled me to travel in Egypt, Yemen and Turkey. I'm now in the midst of writing my memoirs of those adventures and the first of the series, Tracking the Queen of Sheba, is today, Jan. 4, available for free download on Amazon. While the book contains a lot of information (and speculation) on the Biblical story of the Queen of Sheba and archaeological discoveries related to the ancient civilization of Saba (Sheba), most of it is focused on my personal experiences as I joined some American archaeologists in their expedition and my interactions with the locals -- not always pleasant, I might add. So, the book is about Yemen and Queen of Sheba archaeology but it's also about me. I would enjoy hearing your comments, pro or con!
