Good Sunday morning, Ms. Jazzfeathers. I have to say, I like this idea. It drew me to visit your blog, and I like that, too. I have an idea to get it featured on my own blog. I think my readers would appreciate your views and presentation.
Now, on this specific concept: I have my readers trained to look for new material on Wednesdays. I've found that I encounter a lot of activity on the weekends, and posting on Wednesday gives me time to accumulate and process my findings. This would work as a Wednesday post, right? Once I post this snippet, do I announce it here on your thread, or should I start my own? Sounds like a great way to do some cross-pollination in any case.

Hi Jack :-)Welcome to this group and thanks for checking out my blog. I'm heading over to yours.
You want to feature my blog on yours???
Oh, my goodness, I'm so excited! If you need any material from me, just ask :-)
The 8 Sentence Sunday is actually sponsored by the Diesepunks website and most of the activity takes place on their forum (http://www.dieselpunks.org/group/auth...). But some of us who partecipate also post their Sunday snipets on their own blogs.
Everyone writing dieselpunk or steampunk is more than welcome.
Sure, if you want to do any announcement in here, please do. I am not jealous ;-)

I do intend to place a paragraph or two about your blog near the top of this week's post, and when you get over there, you'll see a section called "Friends up to Mischief." There I always say a few words and recommend a visit to a few of my friends' blogs that have added recent material, and I will be adding yours to my feed so that it will update when you post.
I'm not the most computer-literate blogger on the web, so I will have to take some time to figure out how to present the 8-line snippets, but once I do, that'll be something else I've learned; that's a good day in my book.

Thanks very much Jack :-)I am not a very savvy computer person myself, I'm new to everything, so I'm very grateful for every help.
Last month Lyssa Layne interview one of my characters. Was a great fun for me, so I asked her permission to repost the interview on my blog. http://theoldshelter.wordpress.com/20...
Hi there :-)Not only I'm a writer, I'm also a crafter and I have a shop over at Etsy. I'm a member of several teams that promots collections of items (treasuries, as we call them) and one of them is organising... a murder mystery game!
Of course, you'll understand I couldn't resist ;-)
My suspect is suspiciously dieselpunk, don't you find so?

It's sunday, so it's snippet ;-)She lifted the glass to her lips and the alcohol burned her throat, but warmed her stomach up nicely, and her fingers stopped trembling
I have a cold and I hate it... but here's my snippet for today http://theoldshelter.com/?p=785
And hey, ho wabout my new blog? :-)
Hmm... we should really have a thread for NaNo chat, assuming any of us are participating. Think I'll start one.
Hey, now that NaNo is over, some of you guys might want to join me in the 8 Sentence Sunday on Dieselpunks, eh? ;-)http://theoldshelter.com/?p=967
Here's my new snippet :-)http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
Adam, Justin, Blood. The tense dynamics among these three men is one of the things I’ve enjoyed the most in the trilogy.
New snippet :-)http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
This is my ghost's first 'appearance' in the novel.

Nice, eerie atmosphere. Well done, indeed, looking forward to reading your book. What's your time frame for completion?
Saw you briefly on the Empire, dropped you a line, but you never came back. Too bad. Also I'm working on a 'friends' feature for my Beyond the Rails blog, and wouldn't at all object to starting with The Old Shelter. I'll contact you when I have the details worked out.

Hi Jack, Thanks for the comment.
Don't worry, I'll be back to the Empire, it's just that organising my time is very difficult for me. But don't think I'm forgetting!
I'm actually finishing revising the novel, then I'll send it out to my beta readers and I hope to start subbing by spring.
Let's see :-)
Hey, what's this feaature you're talking about? =)
Is there anything more fun to write than brohters' rivarly? ;-)http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
Sunday and sentence ;-)http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
Granny had taught her the moon was tied to every woman, but especially to women like them, women who thread the paths away from the light of the sun.
http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...In the female world that is Sinéad’s thread, Jenny is probably the darkest shard.
It has been a while. Here's my new 8 Sentence Sunday snippet ^_^
http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
Her bones pulsed beside her today as they did that night, just like that night. Five little hearts singing the same song as hers.
Hey, it feels like ages since I last posted an 8 Sentence Sunday. April was all devoted to the AtoZ Challenge (my theme was the Roaring Twenteis, in case you fency a peek) and I feel as if my activity on the blog is diveded in before and after that event. But it was fun ^_^
So here I'm back with my snippets.
http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
And what have you guys been doing?

Finished the second Beyond the Rails book, and have been conflicted about what direction to go in next. That was solved for me by a random comment on writing.com; wisdom truly is where you find it.
Can't wait to read The Old Shelter. Hope you're still feeling the muse!

And what's that comment? Now you got me curious ^_^Where you unsure where to bring the story, or whether having a third book?

Where you unsure where to bring the story, or whether having a third book?"
I'll be blogging about that tomorrow; about 12-14 hours from now at my steampunkjack site. Pour yourself a cuppa, and join me!

I love it when 'extras' enter a story and leave a sign, no matter how short their stay ^_^http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
I can’t say Martha is an extra, but she isn’t a supporting character either. She’s part of the cast, mostly. Does this sounds like not much? Think better. Cast characters may have a very important part in the arc of one of the main characters, and this is surely Martha’s role.http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...
Some character just have their own mind about their roles ;-)http://theoldshelter.com/8-sentence-s...

Do drop by the "8 Sentece Sunday on dieselpunks" forum. Read our excerpts, post yours, exchange feedback. It's fun ^_^

Here’s the gist of it. Everyone who wants, posts a eight sentence snippets of their current writing project on their own blog (it can be any kind of “punk”, it can be in progress or published). Then they head over to this thread and leave a post with a link to their blog, so that anyone who wants can go and read the snippet and hopefully leave a comment, and opinion, encouragement, advice, anything they feel like.
The snippet goes up Sunday morning, and yes, you can post a snippet every Sunday, or you can just post a snippet every now and then, that’s completely up to you. Just remember to leave a post in here, so that people know there’s a snippet waiting for them.
Easy, no? :-)
