Kaje Harper | 17402 comments This is for YA books with significant LGBT content released in July 2014 - anyone can post books here (author or not.) If the book is on Goodreads please link it (and maybe show us the cover.) If you read it, feel free to add a short comment or synopsis. Consider also adding the book to our group bookshelf.

Thanks for helping to keep our group up to date.

Kim (lokilady) | 418 comments Tristant and Elijah, by Jennifer Lavoie, is the only one of which I'm aware that is on Goodreads.

Not yet appearing on Goodreads are Doku, by Tam MacNeil; Secretly, Secretly, by B.V. Pasiano; and Driftwood Dragon, by Emery C. Walters (who appears to be both here and here).

(For those interested in middle-grade fiction, there'll also be Dana Alison Levy's The Misadventures of the Family Fletcher .)

You Don't Know Jack by MC Lee You Don't Know Jack by MC Lee

Jack has never known an ordinary life. “The Center,” a shadowy organization with its own hidden agenda, has been his home, his school, and his job. Under the command of a man he knows only as his guardian, Jack has trained relentlessly in order to carry out the Center’s secret missions. In the three years since he turned thirteen, he’s been given more and more complex assignments, rarely questioning the reasons behind each operation. Now, going by the name Jack Carlisle, his orders are to go to Maine and befriend high school track star Leo McCormack.

Jack finds Leo easy to like, and soon the like becomes something more. He knows he shouldn’t act on his attraction—it’s against all the rules. However, Leo wants Jack in his life as much as Jack wants Leo, and soon the two begin a relationship. Jack gets a sweet taste of real life, but when the mission ends the fallout could be disastrous--and not just because Leo’s father is the target of the operation.

Every Inferno by Johanna Parkhurst Every Inferno by Johanna Parkhurst

Depressed. Defiant. Possible alcoholic. These are just a few of the terms used to describe fifteen-year-old Jacob Jasper Jones. Lately, though, JJ has a new one to add to the list: detective. He’s been having strange dreams about the fire that killed his parents ten years ago, and he thinks he finally has the clue to catching the arsonist who destroyed his family.

A murder investigation isn’t the only thing the dreams trigger for JJ. They also lead to secret meetings with his estranged sister, an unlikely connection with a doctor who lost his daughter in the fire, and a confusing friendship with McKinley, a classmate of JJ’s who seems determined to help him solve the mystery.

All JJ wants is to shake the problems that have followed him since that fire, and he’s convinced he must catch the arsonist to do it. But as JJ struggles to find the culprit, he sees there’s more than one mystery in his life he needs to solve.

The book is called Lies my Girlfriend Told Me by Julie Ann Peters...

I love her books. I known a few, about four to five of them. I think this is going to be a great read. I got it on hold at the library and going to read it, but if I love it like most of her other books I'll be buying soon after I can afford to get it.
