Ella | 15 comments Hey.. No its not this one.. I read some reviews on it abt a year back... I know some reviewers were totally annoyed about lying abt being gay.

MJ | 1620 comments I vaguely recall one where the H needed a fiancée/girlfriend ASAP (maybe for a wedding or just a family gathering). She was a friend of a friend and either the friend or the H told her he was gay to convince her to help. Think he was rich and she needed money for an op for one of her family maybe? Think they might have been based in NZ and needed to go overseas for his family thing. She was a plain Jane who was of course really gorgeous under all the bad clothes. There was a hot Dr chick trying to get his attention at some point who wrote the h off as no competition.

If it sounds familiar, leg me know and I'll go hunting.

A guess - The Billionaire's Hired Girlfriend by Alexia Praks?

Ella, what year did you read this book?

Do you recall the hero and heroine's jobs? Or how they meet?

Ella | 15 comments YES! that's the one... with all the many many bad reviews.. and i had it on my to-read shelf. LOL... Apparently i received a free copy of it and added it because i was in that "fake relation turns into love" phase ( reading-vise). Thanks!

MJ | 1620 comments Funnily enough, this is the same book... and I didn't finish it by the looks. Too many bits irritated me. But from memory, it's 'a bad book TO ME'. Not 'a bad book that everyone should avoid', if that makes sense.

haha.. i know exactly what u mean..
When i see too many bad reviews i read a few to see in case there might be things i absolutely cant tolerate- like cheating or no happily ever afters... aside from that i always trust in my instincts.

I know what you mean. Using the "not" [-] symbol helped. For example, "-mm" [not gay] "contemporary romance".
