YA Readers What are you reading? discussion

Both of these books are by gayle forman and i couldnt help but read them both this weekend! They both blew me away but the sequel (where she went) was my personal favorite. I laughed and cried. Definitely would recommend! Any suggestions on what i should read next?

those sound interesting, i will have to check into them i have one in mind that i read last summer that also made me laugh and cry, its called Red glass by Laura Resau

If you liked Gayle Forman, I think you'd like We Were Liars, if you haven't read it already. I think they are kind of similar in style. I wasn't crazy about We Were Liars, but it was very popular and came out about the same time as Forman's books. Another book that makes me think of those is The Book of Laney which I read recently. It's very dark, but it was well written overall. I reviewed it in my books.

Another author you might like is Sarah Zarr. I think her books are slower than Forman's but they have that same emphasis on emotional journey, at least the ones I've read or skimmed through. Sometimes at the bookstore, I do a skim through if I'm curious about a book or author.
