Welcome to the group, Lourdes! Head over HERE to introduce yourself! :) You've got a pretty good list! Karin Slaughter is in my TBR, I did not realize she has so many books! In Death is also in my TBR, maybe starting it this year.

Thanks. I thought the storyline was a little slow. I would give it 3.5 stars. It got a little better towards the end though. :))

Misty | 106 comments Wow, great job!! So how do you choose your books? Any special method?

I browse through Goodreads recommendations, deals, etc. and if I see something interesting, I check the ratings and reviews. If it's 4 to 5 stars, then I shelf it to my TBR list. When I go to the bookstore or library, I use the goodreads scanner to check the ratings. Thanks to new technology. Makes life easier for everyone.

Loooove the Goodreads scanner! I'm in the process of adding all my physical books, now that they're out of bins and in my library, with the scanner. Then when I'm out I can easily check and see if I have it already. ;)

Misty | 106 comments That's a great idea!!!! I've actually accidentally checked out books or even bought books that I've read before without realizing it so that would solve my problems!!

Dawn Michelle | 3492 comments I've had books in my kindle and then bought them in book form. SO annoying. LOL
I am in a book club and so I am at Barnes and Noble every month and I am ALWAYS adding to my list from there and then I get emails for cheap kindle books [I am a part of both Carnegie Library and Philly Free Library so I ALWAYS check OverDrive now before purchasing a kindle book] and that adds to my list and then there is the endless parade of books that cross my Goodreads page every single day. Plus I am friends with Joy and Elyse. ;-)

Oh I've DEFINITELY done that as well. Several times. Aaand a few times on purpose. :) Some books of series I need to own because I have the rest but they're tomes (ie Outlander series!) so I either buy the e-book as well or get it from the e-library. My wrists can't handle it! lol

Dawn Michelle | 3492 comments YES!!! These 500+ books are killing my hands; so grateful for my Kindle.

message 17: by Joy (new)

Joy | 531 comments Welcome, Lourdes! This is my first year in the group too. Everyone is super friendly (and enabling 😉). Your list of books is awesome. I want to read Poldark and something by Philippa Gregory.

message 18: by Misty (new)

Misty | 106 comments Enabling!! I love it!! ❤️❤️❤️

message 19: by Lourdes (new)

Lourdes | 92 comments July 2017:

47. After the Fall
48. Anne of Avonlea
49. Anne of the Island

5 stars for all 3 books. I always have this feeling of gratification every time I finish a good book. They are books worthy of praise.

Thanks. Some of them are audio books that I get to listen while at work. I prefer reading than listening though. I am more engaged in a book with attention and interest while reading than listening. I just do the audio books at work so I won't get bored. Lol!

Congrats on hitting your goal! And then some!

message 27: by Lourdes (new)

Lourdes | 92 comments Thank you! It was my first reading challenge and I enjoyed it the whole time. Next year, I would probably set my goal to 40 or 50 books because I want to try reading most of the lengthy novels that are in my TBR list (more than 600 pages long). Looking forward to it already!

OMG I can't even *think* about next year yet. lol. I'm nowhere close to completing the other challenges I'm doing this year (Popsugar, Book Riot, Better World Books) but I AM on track for my Goodreads challenge of reading 175 books! But not even on track for the other challenges in THIS group (AZ Author, AZ Title, RWYO)! lol. I think I loaded too much on myself this year.
