yeah. i agree. i was really skeptical about the casting at first, so i went into the movie with pretty low expectations but it was AMAZING! lol. You should have seen me. I was wearing my dauntless hoodie and i was just so proud that i was watching the movie and about how far Divergent has come.

Same, every weekend I used to watch the trailer like 10 times a day.... I almost felt honored to be watching it!! And I love the casting!!!!!!!!

I wasn't sure either but I loved it too!! shailene did an amazing job at playing tris.
And theo as four... PERFECT

yeah. they did really great job. except i was kinda confused when will and drew were n the same scene. i couldn't tell the difference. but Jeanine was AWESOME!

The movie was really good. I was on edge and I loved who they casted. I was very suprised when i saw that Caleb and Tris were playing Augustus and Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars. It was great, I loved the most wen Tris threw the knife into Jeanine's hand. Awesome

I wanted to see it again but my parents refused to let me "waste money on a movie I have seen already" Fine. On August 5th, however I WILL be the first in the store and I WILL buy the dvd and watch it OVER and OVER again because IT IS AMAZING

He was. My friends and I were totally fangirling the whole time over him, and really just the movie in general.

Simply judging it as a movie, it was great. I was satisfied by the actors, the plot made sense to my mom and brother who haven't read the book, the soundtrack was quite nice, the special effects were cool, and on the whole it was exciting with just the right touch of romance.

However, it was a bit of a letdown compared to the book. They took a out a lot of quotes that I loved, changed scenes that I liked, and Theo James looks way older than 18 xD

I loved the movie. But it wasn't as good as the book. In the whole history of book to movie adaptations the book is always better. I wasn't to fond of the shortening and changing of scenes. I definitely love what they did with Four's fear landscape. I also enjoyed the cast. I think shai and theo did a great job play the lead roles of Tris and Four. Miles and Ansel and Kate also did an great job. Every cast member all deserve a round of applause.

The only thing that really bugged me was that they didn't show the rankings at the end of initiation. So my friends (who haven't read it) were like "so she isn't special she was barely making it into her faction" and I yelled "NO TRIS WAS AWESME SHE GOT RANKED FIRST REALLY SHE DID"

Wow, I never noticed that! I guess my mind just is with the book and just automatically fills in the information gaps.

I like it but... I wish they had Edward in it a bit more. Like how he got stabbed in the eye. To me that was a part that should not have been messed up. As well as I don't think they had the part where after Tris went to Erudite to see her brother, Eric stopped her and then Four lied for her and she fake cried. I don't remember that being in the Movie :/

Yeah, I think so too... I just kinda wished they had more of the minor scenes in the movie. Everything seemed to be a bit rushed.

it was a little weird seeing them be in love in the fault in our stars and then brother and sister in divergent. But i agree that it was a great movie.

The movie was great ,however not very relevant to the book.
(And Shailene's so wrong for Tris:))

I totally agree with you! The relationship between four and tris was almost forced. They didn't even pend much time together and the development was just left out. I still thought the movie was amazing though.
