Alice (alicekreher) | 15 comments Okay, I read Legend a few months ago. Mostly I remember Prodigy, and I just got Champion and haven't read it yet. BY THE WAY. For those of you who don't know, Legend is a trilogy (...the aforementioned books). I enjoyed Legend, but Day is eh. I wasn't attracted to him at all (okay, maybe just a little) but I still really wanted him and June to get together. He probably wouldn't make my top 10 or even 15 of fictional guys that I love. Anyone one else feel like that?

Kind of.

Corinna | 3 comments It was a while ago that I read Legend. I remember reading it, but I don't necessarily remember anything about it. Does that make sense?

No? not much that I say makes sense. Anyway, I also remember that the two narrators (the names have escaped me!!!) had identical voices.

So... yeah

yeah that annoys me in alternative pov books sometimes :|

3\5

it was good, not great though. I liked Tess and June but not Day AT ALL. I dislike Thomas, and also John at times, tbh. I guess I will read the second, but this really disappointed me.

4\5

OneFootInHellAlready (one-foot-in-hell-already) | 20 comments When i met June the first thing I thought was "oh, a strong female in a dystopian world! I have never seen that before!" Iv gotten bored of it.

LitNinja I read this a few months ago and all I can really remember is that I liked June enough - but Day was a bit of a bore. I thought the whole BOOK was a bit of a bore tbh.

I'm a little over the whole dystopian thing XD they're all he same now. Apart from Hunger games they're all mirrors of each other

August | 7 comments Overall I liked the book. I think it could have been a lot better if the characters had some depth.

OneFootInHellAlready (one-foot-in-hell-already) | 20 comments This comment is about dystopian:

(Be warned, this may insult your favourite book/book series)

I have read Legend, THG, Maze runner, Matched, Uglies, Divergent, Reboot, The Darkest minds, The testing.

All of them are very similar.

You know why?

Because the main plot of all of them is "Corrupt government".

And before you all go on about which was writing first... (Uglies was btw.)

Things like that have been going on for a lot time.

Animal farm did it. (Better book than most of them I listed)

I think was makes people get tied of Dystopian is that it is always the same thing.

Now if the dystopian world was added with another genre.

Say... Science fiction. You would get a new mixed up idea. (Like Chaos walking, it is my favourite series of all times so I must mention it always.)

So if one more fucking person goes around saying "The Hunger Games did it first" my God... I may just kill a bitch.

It's okay to like the corrupted government plot, I couldn't care less.

But let's get shit clear.

It isn't a new inactive thing.

It's happened a long time before THG and the older ones are normally better than the new YA ones.

If you do like dystopian I would check out some of George Orwell's writing. There normally quite short so they don't drag on.
