What are your theories/thoughts for the end of the Dark Artifices Series?

I think there'll be some way to resolve the parabatai curse. Something has got to allow Emma & Julian to be together - it just has to.

I would cry so hard if Kit saw Livvy as a ghost and Ty and her had a conversation.

My feeling is that Ty is going to feel very responsible for what happened at the end since Annabel was there because of his letter. Julian will turn, possibly taking Emma with him, she is going to struggle to keep Julian from doing something bad. I wonder when the curse hits if Emma will be able to resist or if it will consume her through her parabati rune. I think Dru will step up and take Jules' place helping the others to deal with the mess. I feel it will either end with a similar situation like when Juules had to kill his father or he and Emma are the Wicked Powers. We are going to find out why shadowhunters wear Bronze.

and i watched a video by polandbannanaBOOKs where she talked about the faerie guy with white hair that Dru saw and I also think that he was like a different SEBASTIAN.. so i feel that he has a biggish part in QoAaD

Yeah I think I saw that video too wasn't she saying that it was Sebastian and Seelie Queen's son? Which would be really cool!

Wow they're great theories! Like the idea of Sealie Queen & Sebastian's son, very good twist!
I'm worried about the effect Livvy's death will have on them all. Poor Mark was struggling enough as it was.

Holly Black recently said that Queen of Air and Darkness is so good (she read the outline already. Cassie is still writing it) and that it makes her so happy AND the things we thought would happen isn't what happened but basically it's mind-blowing and unpredictable I CAN'T WAIT

If it not what we expect - then what if Ty does not like Kit but the boy Dry found in the cave? What if Kit is not a Herondale?! We don't know about his mother what if Kit is the Seelie Queen 's kid? Another case of mistaken identity the boy in the cave is a shadowhunter (the real kit) and kit is Sebastian kid?!

@Jo Mark is my favourite of the Dark Artifices and there is always the chance he will go back to the hunt. Only Helen will be able to stop him I think.

@stringbean I think it's either Helen or Christina will help convince him to stay. I think there'll be lots of heartache throughout for us! I'm sure it's going to be a rollercoaster from start to finish.

@Bhea, she said that the other week at the book signing in London - I was so giddy! I wasn't expecting any QoAaD detail as it's SO FAR AWAY!! But I'm glad they did! I just think it's going to be one of the most brutal books yet...

I'm so interested to see what they do with the faction now, I think there are some everyday evil type characters going to show through.

And poor Ty, I don't know what to expect for him. And Dru, I think she'll struggle feeling unnoticed even more. I just can't wait for 2019 and it's release!

Just had a thought: Cameron Ashdown apparently has a role in QoAaD - Do we know what he has been doing since Emma dumped him at the start of Lady Midnight? What do you think Cassie has in store for him?

@gwyn she also did a book signing with Holly in London a few weeks ago. They talked about their independent series as well as joint, when Holly mentioned about QoAaD being nothing like what we expect!
So mean as it feels like an age to wait for it! :)

yea.... there is NO way i'll be able to wait for this book! 2019?!?! But i have to cause if i don't finish the series, i'll be heartbroken if i don't see what happened after Livy died...😭

Oh I know 😭😭heartbreaking. She was such a beautiful character, so sweet and caring. Completely caught me off guard - I just hate to think how they try to move on, if they ever can as a family.
Poor Julian, he's worked so hard to keep them all together. I just hope he doesn't become reckless in his attempt for vengeance

Things that must be resolved:

1. The parabatai curse ordeal, which I think is going to end up happening anyways with Robert lightwood gone ( :'( )

2. Livvy's death. And I honestly am not looking forward to that bit. The Blackthorns are very family based, and having lost an anchor, a sort of guardian angel, balancing everyone out, making sure everyone knows they're in, joking, loving selflessly bravely, I don't want to read the grieving bit :'( about the Kit being able to talk to ghosts bit: I don't think it'll be relevant anymore because Jessamine said he only can talk to ghosts that haven't moved on, when Livvy died the clock chimed the hour (according to the legend she told Kit, the gates to heaven open when it chimes the hour). If it ends up happening I will be drowning in my own tears. Kit and TY are easily two of my fav Cassandra Clare characters.

PS kit still doesnt know about her death. :'(

3. Annabel and the lord of shadows being in the same place, perhaps they might have a pact? Will she side with him now that he has saved her from death?

4. julian's possible villainous behavior

5. Dru is going to have a greater role in the book after what we've seen from lord of shadows. Also THE GREY HAIRED GUY! I watched Xtinemay's video! That theory 😍😍👌🏼👌🏼

6. We'll have to resolve the Clary death issue Cassie raised in LoS

OMG. What if Bridget is one half of the first cursed parabati? Here is what I'm thinking (I can't delve into this any deeper as I borrowed TID from the library):

1. We meet Bridget in TID. A shadowhunter who is a part of the institute, but works like a servant in the kitchens. Why? Did she do something wrong, something that downgraded her shadowhunter status?

2. She has awesome fighting skills - like, she is better than Will, and nearly as good as Jace. At first I thought that this was just because she was older than Wessa and the others and she was being chill about it. But then I thought no. The Clave love to praise and honour their best fighters right? but Bridget seems to get nothing, no reward or praise from the Clave.

3. In TDA we learn that Bridget is still alive. But she is a shadowhunter not a warlock.

4. Bridget loves to sing songs about love/loss/pain. I bet we all thought she was rooting for Will and Tessa as her songs seemed to mirror/preempt the love triangle in TID. But what if these songs were about herself and her parabati and she sings these laments because the Clave has separated them, given them new identities and shipped them to different institutes! I don't know how they are being kept separate but the answer could be in the songs!!!!!!

5. So she's still alive in TDA. Shadowhunter who is immortal but not a warlock? Hmmm perhaps she is a parabati with warlock type magic?

I could put together more of a robust theory, but not without the books. What do you guys think? What do you know about the enigma that is Bridget? Why do you think she is still around? Could she give Jules and Emma the information that they need. Could she be the Queen of Air and Darkness? (okay maybe not). We need the last hours!!!!!!!!

Okay just did a bit of research and Bridget is a sighted mundane. But I'm sticking with my theory! She could have lost her runes through the curse! How? I don't know. She could have had them stripped, or be hiding them with magic.Why has she got long life? I think she has had 'long life' since before she left Dublin for London. I don't think it will be something she acquires in TLH unless the kids are messing around with the black book and they cast a spell on Bridget. For what reason would they do that ? I don't know. Anyway the songs she sings are old right? What if she knows them from when they were first sung?

Guys instead of 2019, Queen of Air and Darkness will be released next year!!! OH MY GOD WE'LL ONLY WAIT FOR ONE MORE YEAR CASSIE SPOILS US SO MUCH

I wish it would be true. Unfortunately, that would be too obvious and expected. Even though it would make my life if it happened, I think they're just going to be friends. Maybe find other people? Or, and this may be far fetched but in a part of TDA, Julian says how something about being made of the same particles or something and that's why they are drawn to each other. Maybe there is a curse on those 2 specifically, that caused this? Making them impossibly attracted to each other? I need them to be together but I don't know... :'( I don't think Cassie will go with the obvious...especially after Clace since it went on for the whole series basically.

I'm seriously in love with Julian. Like who doesn't love him? the thing is, I love emma too because of her strength so as much as I want to envy her... I cant. however, I think there is some foreshadowing regarding Julian. I think he is going to become like Arthur. maybe not literally but he's been under great pressure that cant keep anyone sane. and now with livvy gone...?

I have no idea how she is going to tie so many loose ends in this book. I don't even think 1000 pages would be enough

I think that Julian will definitely become more protective of his family and of Emma. I also think that one of the Cohort's people may become the Inquisitor since that position is now left open, which would lead to government issues that could hopefully be explored further in Wicked Powers. I also feel like someone from the main crew will die, which I don't want to happen, but with what Cassie did to us in Lord of Shadows, I don't know if anyone is safe anymore.... Also, I feel like Kitty and Mark x Cristina x Kieran has to become canon at some point during QoAaD... I'm not sure if Emma and Julian will end up together though, because Cassie said that the ending of this series is more heartreaking than the infernal devices, so I am not ready... BUT I WANT THEM TO BE TOGETHER SO MUCH!!

I NEED THEM TO BE TOGETHER but I also don't think its going to happen. if Cassie is going to break our hearts she'll go all the way, and she might kill one of them...which may turn the whole fandom against her lol. Maybe they will be forced apart and their goodbye is the most heartbreaking. Or Oh My God if clary or jace die...I cant even imagine it. cant she just do the whole "happily ever after thing?"

she's already going with the whole not-so-happily-ever-after thing, but I'm just scared of how far that's gonna go, because I feel like, when it comes to Cassie, she isn't exactly gentle in that sense.... I'm also scared for Magnus and Tessa and I feel like it's a possibility that one of them might die, BUT THEYRE NOT ALLOWED TO BECAUSE HOW WILL ALEC AND JEM DEAL WITH THAT?

Omg I’m reading all this and realized I don’t even remember that Livvy died! I feel so stupid now, but I still don’t remember...all I can think about is that Robert died! And I can’t wait to know how Alec and Izzy are gonna deal with that.

The Wicked Powers happens after TDA. What if Julian and Emma ARE the Wicked Powers?!! Driven to darkness by their parabati curse?!! Was there a reference after Emma and Julian destroyed the church, about how Emma felt wicked for doing such a thing? We know Kit Ty and Dru are leads in the Wicked Powers, we don't know the fate of Julian and Emma though. But what if that is because they are the antagonists of the series? Ty and Dry would be terribly conflicted. The cohort in charge of the Clave and Jules and Emma doing whatever they are doing! The kids will have to hold it all together......oh by the Angel let me be wrong.

Extending that raising the dead theory, where do dead Shadowhunters go after they die? The City of Bones. They may raise Liv there....and accidentally bring back ALL Shadowhunters from history! By the Angel....a return for Will Herondale......but will it go wrong? meaning the raised Shadowhunters are the Wicked Powers?

I'm loving all the thoughts and predictions! Eleven months everyone then we will have answers!
