N and Whitlea walked into their classroom together. They quietly started to set everything up for their first class, and Whitlea was really excited. Her grandfather didn't talk much, and so Leah tried her best not to gush, but she was seconds away from it. This mood was so unlike her, but it was her first day, and that was exciting to anyone. Now they just needed students.

Cassius walked into the room first, sitting down near the teachers. He secretly hoped Tess would be in the class with him so he could have at least one person he recognized. He didn't even recognize who was teaching, he hadn't seen them around school before.
Creme was convinced by Caden that learning first-aid would be good for her, so she reluctantly walked into the room, sitting as far away from everything else that she possibly could and hoped the class wouldn't be overly long or boring.
Lavender walked into the room next, excited. She thought first aid would be a perfect thing for her to learn since she could help people with it! At least, she tried to walk into the room, only to have her wide skirt get caught in the doorway. She stood there awkwardly, trying to wiggle sideways to get out of the doorway.

Yuri saw that he wasnt the first inside. He looked around, hoping for a friendly- or at least familiar face but didnt recognize anyone yet. When a girl got stuck in the door way he watched her in amusement rather than helping her.
He wasn't trying to be rude, he was just caught up in the irony of it all.

yuri snapped out of his amused stupor and looked over at him. "Not at all. But anytime is good to meet new people."

"I agree. I'm just....not good at talking to people aside from the formal junk," Cassius stated bluntly. "My parents weren't too social either. Guess that's where it comes from,"
"I guess we have that in common. Except I'm the opposite. Anything formal is confusing. How am I supposed to know if I'm saying too much?" Yuri said.
Alia didn't understand why she had to take first aid. She couldn't get hurt and she certainly couldn't help anyone else if they got hurt, so why? It was something to do, so she still showed up. But she made sure to sit in a chair far in the back.
Jackson walked in not long after. At Hogwarts, they never taught first aid. He knew enough about plants to keep the life saving ones on him or close. Still, all classes here were required. And maybe he could help someone strange enough to not react to his medicine.
Alia smiled a bit when she noticed someone she knew. The chance were decent, but still. She gave Jackson a wave out of politeness, figuring he would end up sitting with his other friends anyway.
He walked over to where she was and sat down. "Hey," he said, his voice too deep to fit him. He cleared his throat. "It's been awhile."
"Yeah, it has been," she smiled. She was a little surprised that he'd come to sit with her, but she definitely wasn't about to complain. "It's too bad. How have you been lately?"

Cassius just shrugged. "I dunno. I just say nice things and then, like, go on my way,"
Lavender finally got herself unstuck from the door and fell down on the floor in a heap. "Whoops!" She gasped, sitting up.

"Busy. I thought it wouldn't be easier to start second term after the holidays but it's all just as chaotic," Jackson told Alia. "What about you?"
Yuri wasn't sure how to respond. Then he saw the girl in the doorway fall and was compelled to help her up. "Are you alright?"

Alia shrugged. "It's been business as normal for me, so...nothing different. But sorry you've been so busy."
Alia looked over at him, wishing she could ask what his world was like, but now wasn't the time for that. Maybe she could after class, if he had nowhere else to be. "I'll have to take your word on that."
"I would if I had any friends. But I don't really, so...not really," she answered. "It's fine though.
He tilted his head at her. "Really? I'm mean you're so pretty.... and nice," Jackson said quickly.
Alia laughed lightly, making sure it didn't sound mocking. "Sure, but I'm not really that sociable in the first place. It's hard for people to know that you're nice if you never talk to them."
She shrugged. "Maybe. I just think that a lot of people aren't that interesting. You're one of the interesting folk, just in case you were worried."
"I guess I don't know if I was worried or not," he said, giving her a small smile. "Maybethat depends on if I'm interesting enough to be your friend." He looked at her expectantly. It took a bit of effort to not come off as a nervous mess.
She tapped her chin as she teasingly took her time to think. "Yeah, I guess you are," she said with a small smile. "Even if you aren't, I think we're already friends, don't you?"
"Just feels right, I guess," Alia said and shrugged again. "You know, when you just get a feeling about a person? At least...I'm pretty sure that's how it works."
"I thought it had something to do with our siblings.... being married and all," He sighed heavily and leaned back in his chair as he folded his arms.
"Um....I doubt it," she said. "I mean, he's really not my sibling at all. It's kind of an....in name only sort of thing. I barely know him, so I highly doubt it's influential at all on my friendships."

"We're technically nothing at all," Alia answered "Like I said, it's a name only thing. But uh...I have seen them recently ish. It wasn't for very long. A passing hello."

Lavender smiled at Yuri and moved over to where everyone else was sitting, smoothing down her skirt. "I'm fine. Thanks for the offer though, love. You're nice."
Jackson nodded, though he wasn't sure how someone could dismiss family like that. Maybe she was right though.
"I spent Christmas with them at least," he told her. "If I'd known where to find you, you could have joined us. Maybe for Easter?"

Yuri bowed respectfully before returning to his seat. "No need to call me love, miss. I have a girlfriend as of yesterday," he told her proudly. "I was just doing what was asked of me," he said, referring to his compulsion to check on her.
"That sounds nice," Alia said with a small smile. "It's not like I have anything else to do either, so Easter is good. As long as you and they don't think I'm like, imposing or anything."
Jackson shook his head and scratched his ear absent-mindedly. "It's not imposing if I offered it," he told her. "And I don't think my sister would mind. You should probably explain the family thing to them though. Calem might get the wrong idea."
He thought it would make the guy uncomfortable, which was kind of the point, as long as it didn't make Alia upset.

Alia raised her eyebrows, wondering why Jackson seemed almost jittery. "What exactly would be the wrong idea? And that's the right idea, for that matter? Because...I really have no clue."
"Well you're not really his sister, right? Wouldn't want him to be mislead," he shrugged slightly. "I don't really mind what he thinks, but he married my sister so I have to care a little because it's important t'her."
"I'm pretty sure he knows that just as much as I do," Alia shrugged. "But if you really think I have to explain it to him, I'll try. You don't like him very much, do you?"

Lavender smiled nicely at Yuri. "I call everyone love. And that's wonderful! Take good care of her. Give her space if she needs it," She said simply. "Young love..."
"Well...why not?" Alia asked. She figured there had to be a deeper reason for Jackson's dislike, something she couldn't easily guess.
Yuri blushed. "I don't love her.... I just enjoy her company."
Jackson shrugged, not sure this was the place to discuss his opinion of his brother-in-law. "I just.... don't."

Alia looked at him, a little skeptical. "Alright," she said simply, meaning it more as an 'if you say so'. He didn't have to tell her, so she wasn't about to guilt him into it.

Lavender simply continued to smile since she enjoyed the thought anyway.
"Excuse me, but is this class ever going to actually start? That is the reason why I came here, not to listen to a bunch of people talk about meaningless stuff," Creme finally spoke up, annoyed.

"Maybe I'll tell you later," Jackson said, looking away from Alia to the girl speaking rudely to the teachers. He wanted to tell her that she wasn't here to eavesdrop so she could shut her mouth. But he wouldn't ever actually say something like that so....
Yuri looked at Creme and thought she looked similar to Coco. Maybe this was her sister!

"You'll have to be a little more patient," Whitlea replied to Creme calmly. "This is our first meeting after all, and we haven't gotten everything together quite yet. Not to mention that 'class' only started two minutes ago." The unfortunate truth is that it seemed her grandfather had misplaced his notebook which contained all the lesson plans. He had been rifling through his desk for five minutes trying to find it.
Alia just shrugged again, since she didn't expect he would ever tell her. That was one of the many things she'd learned about humans.

Creme somehow resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She kept reminding herself she was doing this for Caden.
Jackson felt dumb for saying anything and tried to focus on what he thought might be starting, if things ever got organized.
