Review Group discussion

In joining this group you have agreed TO REVIEW ANY ALLOCATED BOOK within the set 12 week limit.
If you don’t agree to that tell me now so that I can find another member who will do so.
This is a ‘clean’ group ie absolutely NO explicit sex, NO violence. If you enter your book in this group and it contravenes the ‘clean’ criteria, the other members will be able to provide evidence of the contravention to the group moderator, in the form of the offending passage(s), and if the group moderator agrees there has been a contravention the members will not be penalised for not giving a review. The contravening member will still be expected to give their 4 reviews.
Allocation is entirely random and there will NOT be any rearranging of the listing to accommodate genre preference. The ONLY circumstance in which you may duck out of giving a review is if YOU provide a stand-in reviewer.

Let’s be honest here – we don’t all like the same things but we all want reviews. The only way this group can function is if we trust each other to behave honourably. And it IS perfectly possible to give a fair-minded review of a text that does not coincide with our normal choice of reading matter. If you need a few hints/tips, please see this thread:

How exactly do you define clean? My book has some dialogue that implies sexual encounters and a paragraph or two in which the protagonist describes her first sexual experience (no graphic sex terms, though).

If those qualify, then I would like to join this group. If not, then I'm at a loss as to where this book would fit. Anyway, my info:

Hi is it okay if the reviewers assigned to my book lets me know if he or she can read all three of my series (which has been released all at once, so that's my rationale)? If the reviewer doesn't agree, that's okay, he or she can pick one of them. They're all very independent of each other, like the Harry Potter series, and are only 22,500 words each, so a reviewer can breeze through all three quickly. They're children's books, so easy (although fun and a little profound) to read.

I'm afraid unless they are in a one book bundle I can't ask them to do that, but they might be happy to do so. it'll be up to them.

Actually we will have a book bundle. My co-author is working on it now and it should be ready by next week. By then this group may be ready?

As with E. above, my latest book has two frank scenes involving arousal and intimacy but no description of a sexual act. It also has a number of accounts of battles, but no gory descriptions of heads, limbs, or anything else being hacked off. Does this count as clean?

I can attest that "Cadmon: The Lord's Poet" is definitely clean enough for this group. If anything, it errs on the side of caution. I have read it and reviewed it.
