Jenni | 7 comments I know Bad Bye, Good Bye is a favorite for some for the Caldecott, but I think there is an overlap with the Geisel criteria, as well. The book begins with the acknowledgement that it can be hard to move. Of course, Underwood ends on a positive note highlighting the potential for new friends and new adventures. All of this is done through her play on words, alternating between "good" and "bad" before them. This is a book I will enjoy using with some of my beginning readers at school.
